Nuts really are a good choice for anyone with or without diabetes. Fats are actually good. Yes. Fat is good. In English we just call it fat and we associate that word with negative a negative body image. Fat calories, especially polyunsaturated fats are great for you. Fish oil, EFA’s, beans, legumes, nuts. Chock full of beneficial macros. Fats also satiate more than a carbohydrate and keep you full. Nuts also blend into a lot of things like pesto, butters, sauces, smoothies. Really efficient use of calories. Also, most packaged nuts marketed as snacks, do NOT have any added sugar! Added sugar is the enemy. Plus walnuts, cashews, almonds, Brazil nuts, all have brain cognition benefits. Avocados have great macros for good fat as well. Buy them from the barrels at your fancy store, add your seasoning and oven roast them from raw. Saves you money also
