Shreveport's Lakeside Gardens apartment complex has announced a $38.1 million renovation plan, which will add 22 new units and upgrade the 55-year-old property, ensuring continued affordable housing in the area. Louisiana leaders, including State Sen. Sam Jenkins and developer Jasmine Winston-Wilson, praised the investment, noting that without these renovations, the complex would have ceased to exist. The project comes at a critical time, as the city grapples with fires at abandoned apartment complexes and works to prevent further deterioration of its housing stock. https://lnkd.in/gvZpUaFT
