#TeamTurnbull are celebrating National Inclusion Week. National Inclusion Week aims to raise awareness and celebrate inclusion in the workplace where every individual feels valued and heard, encouraging employers and employees to consider and reflect on the things they could be doing better but also to celebrate the successes they have achieved through diversity and inclusion work. The theme this year is ‘Take Action Make Impact’, which aims to get organisations and individuals thinking about taking considerate actions that make positive and lasting impact inside and outside of the workplace. Some examples of the actions Turnbull have taken to ensure everyone belongs in and outside the workplace are: - A dedicated Culture, Inclusion and Diversity (CID) network group to spearhead our CID initiatives. - Culture, Inclusion and Diversity workshops creating a heightened awareness around inclusive behaviours and language. - Holding key conversations with our stakeholders to get on board with recruitment initiatives such as T-Level apprentice placements, supported learning placements and opening doorways for those struggling to return to the working environment. - A range of internal networks to support our colleagues and empower them to drive positive changes. Are you ready to #TakeActionMakeImpact? Because we are.

This week, we had an inspiring conversation with Mehr Anand Jeswani, an incoming analyst at HSBC in Strategy and Transformation. Passionate about community building and career development, she shared valuable insights to help fellow international students in the UK thrive. Here's a glimpse into our discussion: 💫 🌐 Network and Get Involved: Engaging with student union societies, such as cultural, recreational, and academic societies, can provide international students a much-needed sense of community. 🤝 Importance of Mentorship and Support Systems: Mehr emphasized the critical role of mentorship, particularly highlighting the support from her university's career services and Purvi Agarwal (founder at LinknGrow) for application processes. 💼 Importance of Experience: Try to gain meaningful work experience every summer through internships, part-time jobs, or volunteering, even if not in the UK. 🎓 Balancing Studies and Applications: Balancing social life, academic responsibilities, and applications is crucial. Strategies like finding a study buddy, making vision boards, and creating a structured routine can help. 🔄 Diversify Applications and Keep Applying: She also highlights the importance of persistence and resilience, encouraging students to keep applying and trusting that they will eventually secure a role that fits them! These alarming statistics should be a cause of concern for firms and businesses out there as the efforts of organisations for inclusivity and equity will be nullified. We at Winpe believe that accelerating and incorporating mentorship, skill-building programs, networking, and career workshops are essential for women professionals' development and growth because they provide the knowledge, skills, support, and opportunities needed to overcome barriers and excel in their careers. By investing in these initiatives, organisations can foster not only a more inclusive and diverse workplace but also profitable ones. #Winpe #DidYouKnow #DiversityIsNow #Initiatives #Mentorship #Networking #Inclusivity #Equity #DiverseWorkspace #CareerWorkshops

🌟 First (2) Workshops Down, Many More to Go! 🌟 Last Thursday, I had the privilege of running two global workshops centered on the potent theme of "Inclusion as a Purpose" as part of our company's career day. A big takeaway? The power of purpose is not just transformative; it's foundational. It shapes our personal brand, resonates with our deepest passions, and ignites our ambition. Our career purpose is more than just what drives us; it's about making sure everyone feels included on our journey. Inclusion shouldn't be an afterthought; it must be embedded in our professional calling, irrespective of our roles. Feeling grateful for the engagement, insights, and energy of all the attendees. Here's to ensuring that our professional journeys are not just purpose-driven, but also inclusive at their core! 💡 #DiscoveringPurpose #InclusivityMatters #IED

When Trisha Husbands compares the workplace now to when she first started to work over 25 years ago, huge advances have been made. D&I teams did not exist, there was no unconscious bias training or a space for people from diverse backgrounds to speak about their experiences without feeling it would hinder their future careers. But how much more needs to be done? Trisha shares her views in this Multiverse Community Blog... #diversityequityinclusion #MyMultiverse #DEI #Apprenticeships
