Here's a list of the top seven deals: 🌍 United States, Beaverton-based Intersect Power, a clean energy company bringing innovative and scalable low-carbon solutions to its customers in retail and wholesale energy markets, received $837M in debt financing from Morgan Stanley, HPS Investment Partners, LLC, and Deutsche Bank. ☀️United States, San Francisco-based d.light, developing solar-powered products and financial solutions for households and small businesses, received $176M in debt financing from African Frontier Capital. 💧Germany, Erlangen-based Hydrogenious LOHC, developing Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) technology for hydrogen storage, received a $78.9M Grant from Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Landesentwicklung und Energie. ⚡United States, Seattle-based LevelTen Energy, operating a renewable energy marketplace, raised $65M in a Series D round from B Capital , Constellation, Google, Microsoft, and Prelude Ventures amongst others. 🔋United States, Denver-based Peak Energy, developing sodium-ion battery systems for renewable energy storage, raised $55M in a Series A round from Xora Innovation, Eclipse, TDK Ventures, Doral Energy-Tech Ventures, and Lachy Groom amongst others. 🌿Denmark, Copenhagen-based Again , producing carbon-negative products, raised $43M in a Series A round from GV (Google Ventures), HV Capital, KOMPAS VC, Export and Investment Fund of Denmark, ACME Capital, and Atlantic Labs. 🏭United Kingdom, London-based 44.01, developing technology for the underground storage of carbon dioxide (CO2), raised $37M in a Series A round from Equinor, Shorooq Partners, Alumni Ventures, The Climate Pledge, Planet A Ventures, and IDO Investments amongst others. #netzeroinsights #climatetech #investments #funding #venturecapital

Caeli Wind is a sophisticated cloud-based technology that facilitates fast marketing and finds wind-potential places. Their overall objective is to dramatically increase the probability that project development will be accomplished, which is why they employ exact analyses. The business was able to find 173 new wind turbine locations in #Germany in 2023 and assign them to energy providers and project developers. The AI company's digital research and awarding platform speeds up the realisation of wind farms by an average of eighteen months. Irish solar startup UrbanVolt scoops €26M for European expansion! Dublin-headquartered UrbanVolt, a Solar-as-a-Service company, has secured €26 million investment from leading European specialist growth investor, Verdane known for investing in Swappie and Onomondo. With this significant investment, the company has raised over €200 million in debt and equity to date. Also, it will further power UrbanVolt’s rapid solar energy expansion in the Irish, UK, and European markets. The investment comes at a crucial juncture in the European solar market as panel capacity is expected to double by 2030 and more than quadruple by 2050. 🌍 Private equity to bridge the #ClimateTech funding gap? 🌍 New climate partners and/or funds at global firms like KKR ($8Bn for Europe climate-related companies), Blackrock ($7.5Bn for climate-focused infrastructures), Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners ($6.2Bn for renewable energy projects), Tikehau ($1Bn for regenerative agriculture), HSBC ($1Bn for climate tech startups), Ardian ($1Bn for energy transition infrastructures), EQT and many others. Famous investments from Partners Group in Climeworks, Altor Equity Partners in H2 Green Steel, Goldman Sachs in Northvolt but also from Meridiam in Verkor or RGreen in Electra. E3 Capital have led an $8m seed round in Hohm Energy, the South African Climate Fintech company that connects homeowners and businesses with accredited solar installers, product suppliers, and embedded solar finance. South Africa faces a worsening energy crisis, and daily electricity rationing has become essential to avert the risk of a nationwide grid collapse, thereby increasing the demand for solutions provided by clean tech startups across the continent. Hohm Energy will now accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar in the region by investing in its new cutting-edge climate fintech strategy, additionally bolstering its tech, product innovation and solar installer skills development to make rooftop solar more accessible, trusted, and affordable for everyone. This marks the largest seed round for a tech startup in South Africa, led by E3 Capital and 4DX Ventures and attracted participation from new investors, including Breega, E4EAfrica, to.org, Tekton Ventures, Sunu Capital, Musha Ventures, and Climate Capital Ventures.
