🌏Across the world, existing landscape-level initiatives and other landscapes beginning their transition are connecting, collaborating and sharing their experiences. 🌾Recognizing the potential for collective growth, Regen10 is fostering awareness about how regenerative landscape collaboration can help to create food systems that are people, nature and climate-positive. 👨🌾Over the past year, we have worked in partnership with 1000 Landscapes For 1 Billion People and reached out to 140 landscape organizations in 50 different countries. Yesterday, I attended the presentation of the third aggregated sustainability report, and it was very interesting to discover the steps forward that the Italian food industry has taken in terms of environmental, social and economic sustainability. However, even more interesting are the future sustainability paths that Italian firms in the food industry can pursue. In my opinion, there is a need for increasing awareness about this topic, both towards consumers and towards businesses, especially SMEs.

Theresa is responsible for strategy, content and programs on biodiversity, food and agriculture, and Europe-specific sustainability topics. 💭 What drives you to do what you do? Working in sustainability (and food, especially!) is super complex, messy and often non-linear, which can make it frustrating. But I can’t imagine having a different job — what’s the point of creating anything on a planet that’s falling apart? 💭 What's your go-to healthy and sustainable recipe? The recipe that transformed my cooking is this healthy vegan cashew cheese sauce. It’s a rich, creamy and slightly tangy sauce that I’ve used as a foundation for hundreds of dishes. You can turn it into pasta sauces, dressings, dips, etc. Just add different herbs (I love it with cilantro) or spices to change it up. If you have a very good blender, it’s not necessary to soak the cashews beforehand. 💭 The most important thing we need to do to fight the climate crisis is help people envision a climate-friendly future and see themselves thriving in it. We are proud to be Finalist for the Editors’ Award “Sustainability Initiative of the Year” by NutraIngredients. The award honors companies and initiatives undertaking novel sustainability-driven initiatives in Europe that will deliver impact towards meeting United Nation’s Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). The judges have selected three finalists, one of them being Finzelberg for our “𝗚𝗼 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼” 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲. With “Go Zero”, we will achieve 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗻𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝟭, 𝟮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯 according to the International Greenhouse Protocol 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. In other words, we take responsibility for all relevant emissions in our supply chains – from raw material cultivation all the way through to delivery to our customers. We are very excited for May 15th, 2024, as on this day the award ceremony will take place in Geneva. No matter what the outcome of the award ceremony will be, we feel very honored to serve already today as a role model on the way to more environmental and social responsibility.
