All parts of the dandelion plant are edible, including the roots... which taste a lot like coffee once they're roasted. This week, I decided to get a bit crafty in the kitchen and I adapted a chocolate pudding recipe by adding in some dandelion root powder. The resulting pudding tasted like a mocha latte and it was a huge hit (and caffeine-free too!) Whether it be a homemade meat pie, roast chicken, or fresh fish from the market. We found this recipe recently via our friends at the RACV Club - Healesville. RACV City Club Executive Chef Jason Camillo says crispy chips come down to choosing the right potato. “For chips, you need a floury style of potato. The best variety would be Russet Burbank, which is floury and quite large, giving you the biggest chips,’ says Camillo. Russet potatoes also have a relatively high starch content and high density, which means the oil won’t penetrate too deeply and make the chips soggy. Camillo suggests cutting the chips into large 1cm x 1cm x 10cm sticks.

Lovely @devin_nyc from @westlandwhiskey invited me to an American single malt evening in Soho. The event was extremely intimate and included two additional distilleries 😍 Ithe group guests were women from #womenwhowhiskey NY club. Well. I tasted 3 delicious flavors! 1. #Westland 3240 #SingleCask Barrel Pick 60.2% by Charlie from drammers. Excellent choice! Just two weeks ago I looked glassy-eyed at the bottle of Westland Doc poured for a tasting at the HobokenWhiskeyClub knowing that it was the last peated bottle, because Westland are done with Scotland Peat, well! This bottle was just awesome. 2. @westerwoodwhisky #caskstrength 62.5% Excuse me!! Someone bring a fire department this is hot !!I tropical notes and fruitiness! 'What is it?? How can this possibly cone from oak?!’ I aak, and reply comes quickly… ‘Well… the fruity taste comes from our fermentation process which uses a string yeast called Chico to bring out the fruity aroma, we ferment twice’ That's what Drew, the brand's sales manager, told me. 3. @vadistillery Cuvee Cask 59.2% an interesting story emerged here as well 😍 That was tasty!
