At our points of life, it is when we just need someone to gives us a hand to help us through it. I am here to help you through it. Working together (you and I) as a team, I can be there you with you as you through the lows of life (loss of a job, employment problems, grief, family issues, relationship issues, trauma, and everyday life problems). I want to be there to help you through the lows and I want to be there to celebrate your highs and success as we work together.

As a counselor I have the honor of offering hope to my clients when they may not have any for themselves. My desire is to be a resource for them in this journey of life and to be one of the avenues for God to accomplish His purposes in them. My counseling practice incorporates a distinctly Christian worldview into my methods and practices; however I do work with clients from all backgrounds. My goal is to respect the individual beliefs of each person I work with and to help them using the truths we have through Scripture.

My practice provides both psychotherapy and psychological assessment to adults, with psychological assessment for children. My approach to psychotherapy is cognitive-behavioral and humanistic. That’s a brief way of stating that I focus on the impact of people’s thoughts and behaviors in the problems they experience, while attempting to provide a safe and empathic setting to find different approaches in coping. Approaches supported by research are utilized when available. Finally, an important part of treatment occurs between sessions. Therefore, I encourage clients to practice certain behaviors or thoughts between sessions and read material helpful in understanding and addressing problems.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in Person-Centered therapy in which the relationship between client and clinician is a priority and is based in mutual trust and respect, empathy and congruence. I use integrative techniques in every session to meet the unique needs of each client, such as CBT, trauma-informed therapy and mindfulness-based therapy. I believe that individuals are experts on themselves and because of this I take a collaborative approach in working with clients, utilizing what is known as Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) to get client input in evaluating progress and clients’ needs.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in the field of social work & mental health. I currently possess a Bachelor's & Master's Degree in Social Work. I have worked within a variety of settings (hospitals, military, Child Protective Services, in-home care, etc) with diverse individuals & populations that have provided me with valuable experiences. My goal is to provide high quality clinical care, which will be tailored specifically to meet your individual needs. My knowledge in Clinical Social Work is current & comprehensive & I also offer Sound Therapy services as a Certified Sound Healer.
