Our counseling philosophy is based on solution focused theory whereby we help individuals and families identify stressors which may lead to anxiety, depression, or behavioral issues and guide development of coping skills to problem solve. We find that learning to communicate with others in an assertive, non-aggressive manner facilitates creating a foundation for loving, supportive relationships. Although most sessions focus on a narrative, conversational approach, we often incorporate art therapy/play therapy in working with clients of all ages. Our clients are self-motivated individuals/families committed to improving their lives.

Hi! I am one of the newest members of the Accepted Family Therapy team, provisionally licensed as both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Mississippi. My experience has been with treating adolescents, college students, individuals, and couples with varying issues such as depression, anxiety, and family origin issues. We all have “our stuff”, but “our stuff” is a result of what goes on in our families, our jobs, and our relationships. I work with my clients to figure out how it all works together (or doesn’t) and how you, as a client, fit into that picture.

African Americans historically have trauma that goes back generations. My services help address family and individual issues of differentiation, grief, and addictions. We provide clients with interventions and goals directed towards the client's expected outcomes. We use faith based, strategic short term, solutions-focused integrated models with clients ensuring success.

In his poem, “Messy Room” Shel Silverstein helps us see a room where everything is out of place - the sweater is on the floor, the pants are on the door, and the old sock is stuck to the wall. Interestingly enough, the same character that made these initial observations begins to recognize everything in the room as his own. Indeed, this is his room and his mess. Much like this room, life can be messy but it does not have to stay that way. My cients present with a variety of issues related to mental/behavioral health inlcuding addictions, trauma, marriage and family, parenting, work/academic, and other issues. My approach is to meet clients where they are and help encourage and empower them to make positive changes in their lives. It is imperative to help my clients process their thoughts, feelings and experiences in a healthy manner, to educate them with the proper knowledge and coping mechanisms to effectively manage their stressors. This incudes helping clients from a systemic and holistic standpoint so that they gain the self awareness and insight needed.

I have a passion for working with children, adolescents, and parents. Although therapy will take place in my office, I believe that guiding parents on what they can do at home to help their child is important. I strive to give my clients the coping tools they need and can use daily to help regulate emotions which will ultimately help with their behaviors. I have a special certification in AutPlay Therapy. This play therapy and behavioral therapy approach is great for clients (3-18) that struggle with regulating emotions, social skills, anxiety, impulse control, behavioral concerns, bullying, depression, and education challenges.

My name is Daniele Nolan and I am a licensed therapist with 3 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families overcome life’s challenges. As a therapist I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, and that therapy can provide the tools and support needed to achieve personal and interpersonal goals. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insight into patterns and behaviors, and develop strategies for moving forward.

Brittany primarily works with children, adolescences and teens ranging from ages 3-18. Brittany does work with some adults focusing on trauma related concerns. She has worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, and legal concerns. Some evidence-based techniques that she has used in sessions include, play therapy, art therapy, DBT, and trauma focused techniques.

We all face challenges in life, but my goal is to help you overcome your challenges and obstacles. Currently, I work with children experiencing depression, anxiety, and behavioral symptoms. I work with adults experiencing anxiety and depression. I assist my clients with creating personal goals for a healthier lifestyle! I specialize in treating children experiencing stress from: behavioral symptoms, family transitions, divorce, and everyday life adjustments that lead to depression, and behavioral disorders. I also treat adults experiencing life stressors causing anxiety, and depression.

I am a Blue Cross Blue Shield provider and I am accepting new clients. My goal is to collaborate with and support clients in their healing process, whether that is addressing anxiety or depression, building resources and coping skills, or processing and healing from traumatic experiences. There is no shortage of difficulty and suffering in our world, and I am honored to meet each and every client where they are and walk with them toward their goals.

Dr. Nosen has been providing evidence-based assessment and therapy since 2005. She specializes in treating adults experiencing anxiety, posttraumatic stress, depression, insomnia, alcohol and substance use. She primarily works from a cognitive-behavioral approach, tailoring treatments to help you develop insight, learn new ways of coping, and plan strategic changes to help you meet your personal goals. Dr. Nosen is trained in several specialized types of therapy protocols.
