I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug counselor. I earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas, at Tyler Texas. I have 20 years experience in counseling individuals, groups and families. I enjoy helping people to consider new perspectives and to experience health and joy in their lives and relationships.

I've never met a client who didn't cause change and personal growth in myself after meeting them. I have experience working with LGBT+ persons, college-aged students, substance abuse/addiction clients, and individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders, such as anxiety and depression. I use a Person-Centered approach alongside mindfulness/meditation and cognitive-behavioral techniques to facilitate personal growth and healing.

My experience in the field of mental healthcare spans over 30 years. I was a school administrator for six years and a former law enforcement officer for 10 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, couples, parenting problems, career challenges, PTSD and ADHD. I am a compassionate counselor, but I believe in individual accountability.
