✨ Climate-smart agriculture initiatives are critical to addressing the multifaceted challenges facing the African continent. Low crop yields are threatening global food security, necessitating innovative agricultural practices that are resilient and adaptable to shifting climate conditions. 🌿 Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) initiatives are important interventions that develop essential tools to address pressing climate issues and ensure a resilient and equitable future. 🌍 The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) promotes an enabling environment for developing and adopting innovative CSA solutions, builds capacity of agriculture stakeholders to effectively deliver and scale resilient-agriculture initiatives, and increases farmers’ access to much needed finance. In Africa, we are implementing innovative programs and projects to facilitate access to green investment, inspire climate action, and encourage climate resilient agriculture across countries. The overall aim is to ensure we achieve food security while supporting communities and facilitating countries to access the tools and resources they need to strengthen their resilience to climate change. ✍ Our latest report “Solar Powered Irrigation System (SPIS) Potential and Perspectives in Sub-Saharan Africa” looks into the impact of #ClimateSmartAgriculture (CSA) practices on yields in sub-Saharan #Africa. 🌱 #GGGI’s technical report “Greenpreneurs 2.0: Investing in Climate Tech Startups for Net-Zero Future” is out! 🔑 Unlock key insights about the climate-tech landscape derived from GGGI’s #Greenpreneurs incubator program and discover what needs to happen next to secure startup investment funding. In its second iteration, GGGI Greenpreneurs 2.0 will expand its coverage and provide additional program resources to accelerate critical climate-tech startup growth in emerging economies. ⚡ Key findings on the climate-tech startup investment space: 1. We are proud to unveil the "Solar Powered Irrigation System (SPIS) Potential and Perspectives in Sub-Saharan Africa" flagship Technical Report.  This Report is based on comprehensive results gathered over a period of two years of groundwork with small-holder farmers in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Uganda. The Report evaluates impact of #ClimateSmartAgriculture (CSA) practices on yields in sub-Saharan #Africa.
