We gave a creative brief to the People's Association communications team (instead of the other way round!) What went down during a recent content creation workshop hosted at our studio: 💭 Kai Yuan Ng shared insights from OGS on what makes a good story 🤳🏻 Adeline Tay gave a quick crash course on how to approach people and tips on making social media content 🏘️ Officers then had to put what they've learnt to practice, working in groups to create a TikTok video of interesting places and businesses around the estate Of course, there was some healthy competition to be voted as the winning group! Hi! I’m PC Prisca Pook, a Video Journalist (Documentary) Intern from the OGS Video Team! My most memorable experience in OGS would be the POSB Support Your Heartlands shoots. During these shoots, I had the opportunity to meet people who work in small local businesses, such as a minimart shop owner and a hawker egg seller. When they shared about their life stories, I gained a deeper appreciation for the people whose stories that we often overlook. It has shed a spotlight on the lives of small shop owners in Singapore and the importance of supporting local businesses. I found it especially heartwarming when the profiles mentioned that they enjoyed the videos and thanked me for supporting their businesses. "Even the smallest moments of joy make a big impact ❤️" In this video, we explore what our foreign workers do on their day off! Ella and her friends, after a long 6-day work week, make their only day off count by choosing adventure over rest. Ella created a community called Skate Club, which has become her second family—a place where they share moments of joy, support, and strength. Their story is a reminder of the power of community and the importance of cherishing the moments that fuel our spirits. It's about embracing what matters most, even in the busiest of lives. Hello, I'm CT Celeste Tan Video Journalist Intern from OGS! When I recount one of my memorable experiences so far, it would've been my shoot with Kakak Amrah. During this shoot, I met an amazing mother and an extremely heartwarming person. While listening to her interview, I could feel the genuine love and trust she places in herself and her kids. It felt refreshing to listen and learn about someone who had been through so much negativity and danger, be able to look forward to the future and put her entire soul into what she loves to do. She inspired me to be content with what I have; even if things seem impossible at times, it's up to me to make it possible for myself. Through that, I could tell why this story was being told to the public, to tell others that they will always have a chance at living the life they want. Hello, I am NT, a Micro-Content Intern from OGS! I recently handled my first end-to-end project. It was my first time, and I wasn’t the most confident in myself. However, I was fortunate to have very supportive colleagues who guided me along the way. On the shoot day, I was worried about how the dynamics between the two profiles would play out. To me, the profiles are a crucial part of the video, so I hoped for some bantering and good soundbites. Adding to the challenge, heavy rain disrupted our plans. When I arrived, I tried to make the profiles as comfortable as possible before diving into the interview segment. I was lucky that the two profiles worked very well together. Throughout the interview, I calmed myself down by reminding myself that it was just a conversation. This experience was a real eye-opener, teaching me to adapt to unpredictable challenges, including bad weather. #whyogs #interninsight

Hello! I’m SY, a video intern at nOm! One of my most memorable experiences with nOm so far has been my very first shoot. It was for Kakak Marlina and her community fridge initiative. That shoot really set the tone for the rest of my internship, giving me a glimpse into the meaningful and engaging content that nOm creates. Hearing about Kakak Marlina’s struggles as a single mom deeply resonated with me, and learning how she became committed to giving back to her community as soon as she was able was incredibly inspiring and touching. I remember leaving that shoot feeling profoundly fulfilled and with a renewed sense of purpose. In my own small way, I felt like I was contributing to the community too.
