Good news, everyone! 21 Lombard Street has officially received planning approval, paving the way for a sustainable transformation in the heart of London. Working with The Townscape Consultancy, Woods Bagot, Ivanhoé Cambridge, CO-RE London, and Gerald Eve, we've crafted visuals to help bring this future-focused vision to life. Here’s what makes this project special: 🌱 Sustainability at its core: By retaining 70% of the existing structure, the design aims to meet high standards in low-carbon building, targeting BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Gold certifications. 🌿 Green, Open Spaces: The addition of rooftop terraces with extensive planting will provide stunning views of the City and create welcoming outdoor areas. 🚴♀️ Upgraded for Modern Lifestyles: Enhanced facilities like bike parking, showers, and efficient systems are tailored to the needs of today’s workforce. We’re proud to be part of this transformative journey, blending the building’s heritage with forward-thinking design for a new era on Lombard Street.

Celebrating one year since ‘Powered by Cityscape’ ✨ It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since we hosted our Powered by Cityscape event, hosted by Theodore Harding, bringing together some of the industry’s top thought leaders. In September 2023, we gathered visionaries from the entertainment, real estate, and design sectors to share their expertise and innovative perspectives. 🔑 Keynote Speakers: Lohan Presencer, Executive Chairman, Ministry of Sound Lloyd Lee, Managing Partner, Yoo Capital Management Alex Kim, former Director of Workplace, The Crown Estate Jack O Beirne, former Development Manager, Hollybrook Limited The event highlighted the power of utilising immersive technology to design, review and create consensus across some of London's most notable and challenging projects. These themes continue to resonate with us at Cityscape, as we remain dedicated to supporting our clients in unlocking significant outcomes across their projects. A huge thank you to our speakers and attendees for making Powered by Cityscape such a great event. Here’s to the continued success of everyone who took part, and to more transformative moments ahead. 🌟

We had the privilege of speaking at Unreal Fest in beautiful Prague earlier this year, where our very own Rumen Dimov showcased how Cityscape Digital is at the forefront of revolutionising the architecture and construction industry. By harnessing the power of Unreal Engine, we're transforming complex data into intuitive, visual decision-making tools through the use of digital twins. In his talk, Rumen dives deep into how we’re using this cutting-edge technology to tackle some of the most challenging data-driven problems in design and real estate. This is just the beginning of what’s possible when architecture meets innovative technology. Watch the video to discover how we’re shaping the future of real estate. https://lnkd.in/e3AnX83A

Empowering Amey's vision for decarbonisation 🚀 We’re proud to have collaborated with Amey on a project for an internal conference recently. Amey needed a visual aid to effectively communicate their position on decarbonisation, and the interconnected nature of their projects. Our team rapidly developed an expansive theoretical masterplan, allowing the presenters to dynamically zoom into specific details like EV charging units and LED lights. This setup illustrated the connections between various infrastructure projects, including railways, roads, and power systems, highlighting Amey's comprehensive approach to green initiatives. This project supported Amey in presenting their strategies and vision to around 500 top executives, with potential future applications in customer-facing presentations. Great news! The London Chest Hospital redevelopment has received planning approval, and we're thrilled to have been involved. We've contributed with planning views and a detailed VR model to support Latimer's vision of creating 274 new homes—half of them affordable—and to ensure the preservation of the site’s heritage, and veteran Mulberry tree. It's exciting to see our work helping to bring this vision to life 🏗 https://lnkd.in/eVCNuJeS
We are pleased to announce that Latimer by Clarion Housing Group have received resolution to grant planning permission from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets for the redevelopment of the historic London Chest Hospital site in Bethnal Green following over two years of consultation and engagement with the local community. This landmark project will transform the disused site into a thriving community with 274 new homes; 50% of which will be affordable housing, including 76 new Social Rented homes, underscoring our commitment to addressing housing needs and fostering inclusive communities. Our vision, which has been brought to life by Stirling Prize winning architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris reserving and restoring the Grade II-listed main hospital building, the Sanitary Tower and the South Wing. In addition, five new buildings will be constructed, providing high-quality new housing and importantly we will be preserving the veteran Mulberry tree, one of East London's most cherished natural landmarks. The design of the scheme will also result in the creation of high quality publicly accessible open spaces including a new square on St James’s Avenue and restoration of the formal lawn in front of the hospital as a public lawn. There will also be commercial space provided within the South Wing for a café and for community use. Richard Cook, Group Director of Development at Latimer, says: "This project represents a unique opportunity to blend the historical significance of the site with contemporary housing needs. Our commitment to providing a high proportion of affordable homes and preserving the Mulberry tree reflects our dedication to creating sustainable and inclusive communities." We will keep you updated as we embark on this exciting journey to breathe new life into the London Chest Hospital site. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the invaluable support and expertise of our dedicated consultants, including: AECOM, Aspect Arboriculture Limited, Baily Garner LLP, Churchill Hui Ltd., Cityscape Digital, Eversleigh LLP, hgh Consulting, Iesis Group, Jomas Associates (Engineering, Environmental, Land Remediation), London Communications Agency, LDA Design Lord Consultants Limited - Inclusive Design, MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology), Montagu Evans, Point2, QODA Consulting, Quod, REEF, Studio Dekka Limited, Sweco, Tegerdine Associates Ltd, Velocity, Wallace Whittle, WSP, SRL Technical Services Ltd #HousingDevelopment #SustainableLiving #AffordableHousing #TowerHamlets #LatimerHomes

This Volunteers’ Week, I spotlight our supply chain partner, Southwark-based Cityscape Digital, with whom we work with to vision and design many of our places. Joining us in having a positive, long-lasting social impact at Canada Water, Cityscape has given time and expertise to respond to identified local need. Cityscape has partnered with The Engineering & Design Institute London (TEDI-London). Notably, 40 students studying Ecological Design and Designing for Smart Cities, explored the redevelopment of Canada Water's iconic Printworks building and methods to realise its ambitious design. For more information, see the link below. Additionally, Cityscape partnered with BALLERS FOOTBALL ACADEMY LTD to visualise a design for a new 5-a-side football pitch to engage local decision-makers in their aspirations to deliver a much-needed facility in the area. In partnership with Construction Youth Trust, Cityscape supported CYT's Shaping Southwark's Future programme, offering insights into the built environment sector and the world of work for disadvantaged young people. Cityscape's volunteering efforts contribute to impactful education and skill development - a positive social impact - in the local community.
