  • Park Street in Westcliff-on-Sea is a brownfield redevelopment site creating 7no 1 and 2-bedroom apartments arranged around a secured gated mews style courtyard setting, tucked away just minutes from the train station, high street, and beachfront. Each property has been carefully designed with private entrances leading to ground, first floor and duplex apartments, with the architectural style and materials palette reflecting a contemporary approach to the local vernacular. Achieving planning permission last year and with demolition works now complete we are eager to see construction works commencing soon! FRONT. have been appointed on Stages 0-5, developing the design through feasibility to construction.   • We recently secured planning approval for this truly impressive replacement 5-bedroom home measuring in excess of 5,000 sq.ft plus new stables and cart lodge out-buildings in Essex.   • We are proud to announce that our planning application for the commercial redevelopment of White House Farm in Chelmsford was approved last week. The proposals are for the demolition of existing dilapidated warehouse buildings and the new construction of 17no business units with a mix of B8 (storage or distribution) and E (commercial) use classes, with a total GIA of 18,100 sq.ft, complete with associated parking and landscaped surroundings. This project enhances the existing site, providing much-needed flexible and adaptable modern commercial space creating a business community fostering growth and sustainability in the area.   • We are excited to share the recent approval for the conversion of the Grade II listed at 138 High Street, Billericay sited in the heart of the Billericay Town Conservation Area. The proposals also include the conversion of the existing outbuilding and extensions complimented with new build housing offering a mix of high street fronting commercial space and 17 residential units consisting of 1-bedroom coach house, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and a 3-bedroom detached house. This development enhances the character of the conservation area, blending historic preservation with modern living.   • At the start of this month, we obtained Gateway 2 approval from the Building Safety Regulator for the conversion of this landmark office building in the centre of Slough to provide 137 premium rental apartments; many benefiting from expansive views over the town and beyond to Windsor Castle and Eton. FRONT. were appointed through Stages 4-5 including CDM and BSA Principal Designer roles.  This was our first application with the BSR which was made all the way back in April this year; we want to extend a huge thank you for the due-diligence and expertise of the team that supported the process. Works are commencing on site and we are looking forward to seeing this one take shape and working our way through to Gateway 3 completion.   • A fantastic day on site for Justin Al-Soufi & Reegan Howles, celebrating a great project with Gratte Brothers | Building Services & Engineering .

    Team effort, recognised 🎉 Yesterday, the Gratte Brothers project team hosted a topping out ceremony for everyone involved at LD10.4. Equinix and Arup team members joined all the trade contractors on site in the celebrations, where all site activity was paused for a couple of hours to mark the occasion. 🗣️ Project Manager, Ian Butterfield, and Managing Director, Remi Suzan, shared words of thanks. 🦺 The final section of concrete was filled by Equinix & project team members. 🍰 An extensive selection of food and drink was provided to everyone, including a bespoke cake! 🎫 A raffle prize draw ran for all site members, with prizes and Amazon vouchers up for grabs. 🤝 Everyone who worked on the project was included in the backdrop. The ceremony marked the momentous #milestone of the team completing the complex structural build within a live building. 300 tonnes of #steelwork had to be installed with only the smallest margins for error. Everyone involved has excelled on this project so far - a testament to the level of professionalism shown on a daily basis. #BuildingServices #ToppingOutCeremony

  • Sunnyside Road, Islington is a residential redevelopment project creating 19 one, two and three bedroom apartments on a former brownfield site once home to a vehicle service garage including a locally listed retained Coach House to be converted as part of a later phase. Working alongside Designer London Developments to deliver the site for Islington and Shoreditch Housing Association as a fully affordable development. With construction works progressing well on site, completion is expected late Spring next year. FRONT. were appointed to carry out the Stage 4-5 design works following the successful planning design obtained by @Claridge Architects Limited.   • Earlier this year Marfleet Contractors successfully completed the construction works for our client Harding Homes for this conversion and roof extension of an existing vacant office in a prominent location on the corner of Crouch Street, Colchester. Converted through a mix of permitted development Class MA and full planning to convert the roof space and refresh the façade treatments, the site has delivered 14no 1 and 2-bedroom apartments whilst retaining the existing retail use at ground floor through-out the works. A big congratulations to Marfleet for a brilliant finish on a very tricky site.
