A collaborative approach in Salford In case you missed it, an exciting piece of news to come out of this year's #MIPIM was the official launch of #SalfordStrategicRegenerationForum. We joined partners Salford City Council, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Homes England and Peel Land to launch this new, unique way of working between the public and private sectors. The innovative approach embraces the rich pipeline across the city and looks at how #place-based solutions, good growth and inclusive #growth can be delivered across the city with partners. "We look forward to working with the Forum partners to deliver successful and sustainable places across the city, building on the scale of what we have already achieved through our work at #SalfordCentral and Crescent Salford.” Phil Marsden, Managing Director for the #NorthWest Read more: https://lnkd.in/e5kMGb-N #placemaking #regeneration #salford

MIPIM 2025, completed! As the (eventual) sun sets on #MIPIM25, we’re reflecting on a productive week, with countless connections and insightful conversations. Earlier today, our Managing Director, Phil Mayall, joined UK PropTech Association (UKPA) for a panel on how #proptech can unlock the UK’s #investment potential. Great to discuss how #technology is transforming planning, development, and investment with Joanna Averley (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government), Emma Long (Legal & General), Dan Hughes (Alpha Property Insight) and Saminder (Sammy) Pahal (UK PropTech Association (UKPA). And the festival concluded for us with Place North’s ‘MIPIM Wrap-up’, where Phil joined Tom Bloxham (Urban Splash) and Insiyah Khushnood (igloo Regeneration) to share his closing thoughts. We've enjoyed our many discussions, along key themes of: ⭐ Leveraging UK innovation ⭐ Unlocking delivery of sustainable, affordable homes ⭐ The role of partnerships in addressing viability challenges ⭐ Transport infrastructure underpinning investment patterns ⭐ How cities adapt to new challenges ⭐ Sport-led regeneration ⭐ The role of technology Let's continue the conversations. We're just about wrapping up Habiko's first MIPIM – and what a week it's been! With the sun finally coming out to play, here's what we've been up to: 📰 We introduced the world to Habiko by telling MIPM News about the importance of placemaking and regeneration for local, regional and national policy-making. We'll be continuing conversations about delivering homes at pace over the coming months. 📱 James Agar spoke to MIPIM's social media channels about how events like MIPIM help to amplify and encourage discussions around how public-private partnerships are key to achieving Labour's ambitious growth ambitions. 🎤 Phil Mayall took to the stage at the UK Hub, focusing on housing delivery. At a time when the industry is debating how it can deliver the 1.5 million homes the Government is calling for, it's important that we consider the affordability and sustainability of these homes, and that they are delivered in the places that need them most. Thanks to Kunle Barker (Natural Places), Alexandra Notay, Hon MRTPI (Notay Advisory Ltd), Rob Perrins (Berkeley Group Plc), Yolande Barnes (UCL) and Pat Ritchie (GPA & Homes England) for an insightful discussion. #MIPIM #housing #regeneration

Another brilliant and busy day at #MIPIM, taking on the hot topics in #placemaking and #regeneration. Our Managing Director, Phil Mayall, started the day with a roundtable debate "City Competitiveness Redefined" on the #London Stand. He joined Edgar Kiviet (Arup), Susana Rodríguez (Savills España), Simon Chinn (ULI Europe), David Jaques (Cardiff Council) and Irene Skoula (C40 Cities) to discuss what makes a city an attractive place to live, work, and invest. The panellists explored how cities can adapt to new challenges like #climatechange while continuing to grow and thrive. On a day when sport dominated the agenda, Phil joined Invest Newcastle to discuss how sports-led #regeneration can drive #investment and #economicgrowth, with Colin Chong (Everton Football Club), Mark Donnelly (OGV International), Michelle Percy FRICS (Newcastle City Council) and Cllr Gavin White (Manchester City Council). He highlighted the role of master-planning in ensuring the vision of what happens around the new stadium integrates well with the #community. Phil also joined a panel debating ‘Sustainable and Affordable Housing Solutions’, introducing our Habiko #partnership with Pension Insurance Corporation plc and Homes England. He joined Kunle Barker (Natural Places), Alexandra Notay, (Notay Advisory Ltd), Rob Perrins (Berkeley Group Plc), Yolande Barnes (UCL) and Pat Ritchie (Government Property Agency & Homes England) to discuss the opportunity, policy and models to deliver high quality, #affordable and #sustainable housing. The day concluded with our #Midlands MD, Maggie Grogan joining the West Midlands Growth Company to tackle the topic of “Leveraging UK Innovation”. She joined Joanne Roney CBE (Birmingham City Council), Rob Valentine (Bruntwood SciTech) and Rt Hon Greg Clark (University of Warwick) to explore the major investment opportunities in the new London-Birmingham corridor. #MIPIM #MIPIM2025

He also joined Salford City Council, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Homes England and Peel Land to officially launch the #Salford Strategic Regeneration Forum.
