This project involved the radical remodelling of a 1970’s bungalow, resulting in a period-style property with a contemporary feel. A vast joinery package was completed by our in-house Joinery Workshop, comprising oak cabinets, orangery room, staircases, softwood bookcases, TV units and panelling. A Georgian-style orangery was created to provide additional living space. Externally, it was manufactured in Sapele for a painted finish, while the internal low-level panels and trims were crafted from tulip wood. To enhance natural light, a large Sapele roof lantern was also built, ensuring all mouldings and details matched the existing features of the property. The beautiful galleried staircase has solid oak treads and bottom treads with full bullnose returns, incorporating panelling and understairs storage. Upstairs, a bespoke dressing room leads into a large ensuite. The dressing room includes painted wardrobes on all four elevations, crafted from tulip wood, with oak-faced veneer internals and solid oak dovetailed drawers fitted on soft-close full-extension runners. All units have panelled ends to replicate doors, with rails and beading lining for a seamless finish. The ensuite is fitted with full-height panelling, working shutters, and a window seat. The panelling is manufactured in tulip wood and Trycoya MDF with a dark green hand-painted finish. #familybusiness #buildingforgenerations #englishhome #finequalitybuilding #craftsmanship #refurbishment #rwarmstrong #craftsmanship #joinery #countryhousebuilders #renovation #inhousejoinery #cabinetry
