Improving the employee experience for growing families.

About us

BenefitBump serves as a hub connecting employees to all benefit plans, leave (including state paid leave), programs, resources, and worksite supports as they grow their family. We guide growing families through their pregnancy, fertility, surrogacy, or adoption journeys when things go as planned and even when they don't. Our program is emotional health forward, where master's level emotional health professionals serve as the guide for participants. Our program is offered to employers of all sizes, delivering value to clients in many ways. We serve as a hub for all benefits and time off programs, connecting participants to the valuable programs offered by their employers. We take work off the plates of busy employees and Benefits/HR teams, and provide the support that enables work/life balance and higher retention and return-to-work rates. Participants benefit from the support they receive in benefit plan and leave program education and transactional support, connections we make to helpful resources, and through recurring check-in calls that help with project management and stress reduction . As BenefitBump reduces stress, health outcomes will improve. BenefitBump is designed for all families and all paths to parenthood. According to the US Census Bureau, first-time dads are more likely to take time off than ever before after the birth of their first child. Before 1975, only 7.5% of dads took time off work after the arrival of a new baby, but between 2016 and 2019, 66.5% of fathers took some form of leave. Taking paternity leave is crucial for new dads to bond with their newborns, support their partners, and experience the joys and challenges of early parenthood. Research has shown this time off fosters stronger family relationships and contributes to long-term emotional and developmental benefits for the child. Encouraging paternity leave helps promote gender equality and work-life balance in modern families. By far the number one question we receive from participants is regarding leave pay and time off. Approximately 60% of active app users have used our leave-pay calculator, and 68% of participants need help from their Care Navigators figuring out leave.    As one participant stated, “[My Care Navigator] has been crucial in navigating my leave benefits. I really value and appreciate her help and support through this process. I have strongly encouraged my coworkers who are expectant parents to reach out to BenefitBump!”.   To learn more about how BenefitBump can provide personalized expertise and education that simplifies the leave process for participants, as well as take work off the HR team's plate, reach out to us today: https://lnkd.in/gtGbTsc7 #leave #HR #benefits #family #parentalleave

Supporting new mothers with time off after childbirth is key for promoting gender equity in the workplace. Here are 4 effective strategies employers can implement: ✔ Extended Paid Leave: Offer longer paid maternity leave to allow mothers to recover and bond with their newborns without financial stress. ✔Flexible Work Arrangements: Provide options for remote work and flexible hours to help mothers balance their professional and personal responsibilities. ✔Parental Leave for Partners: Ensure both parents can share childcare duties by offering paid parental leave for partners. ✔Reintegration Programs: Facilitate a smooth transition back to work with phased returns, part-time options, and job-sharing arrangements. Implementing these measures not only supports new mothers but also enhances overall workplace productivity and equity. A doula is a non-medical support person that provides emotional and physical support to mothers before, during, and after pregnancy and childbirth. Doulas play a critical role in improving birth outcomes for both women and babies. At BenefitBump we have doulas on staff, doula education courses, and we help participants get connected to and fund doulas.  To learn more: https://lnkd.in/gtGbTsc7 #maternalhealth #doula #maternalwellbeing #birthoutcomes
