NYSERDA recently announced new funding opportunities through their innovative Clean Mobility Program (NYSERDA PON 5739). With the goals of helping NY communities reduce reliance on personal vehicles and improving access to zero emission transportation options, this funding could be used to support a variety of electric bike and scooter projects including charging stations for electric micromobility. If your are interested in this opportunity, and would like to talk about how re:Charge's universal wireless charging solutions can support your mobility program, please reach out to us. We'd love to talk about potential partnerships. Link to the program information below.

We had a wonderful launch event in Amsterdam yesterday, including an incredible lineup of speakers who lauded our collective efforts to deploy a first-of-its-kind universal wireless charging solution for electric micromobility vehicles. City of Amsterdam, New York Angelo Santabarbara Capital District Transportation Authority Patricia Fahy NYSERDA Shared Mobility Inc We also want to thank two key contributors to this first of its kind deployment who could not be here with us, Drop Mobility , WiBotic. Thank you to all who were able to attend, and we are excited to use this momentum to deploy more charging stations around the New York State Capital Region and beyond. For those who were unable to attend, please find a summary of the event on our website. https://lnkd.in/dPE4DMhV Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, suggestions or potential partnerships, and we look forward to bringing a cost-effective and safe universal charging solution in support of sustainable and equitable micromobility systems for communities around the world. #partnership #sustainabletransportation #climatechangemitigation #equitableelectricmobility #innovation #tourism #sharedmobility #ebikes #universalcharging

re:Charge is pleased to announce the launch of the first universal wireless charging stations for shared electric micromobility in the US. Installed to support the Capital District Transportation Authority’s CDPHP Cycle! (www.cdphpcycle.org) bikeshare system, re:Charge’s universal wireless charging solution will make bikes accessible to more people while reducing the cost of bikeshare operations. Our launch ceremony will take place on Monday, July 1st, 2024, at 10 am at the Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook near the intersection of Bridge Street and Minaville Street in Amsterdam, NY. If you are interested in attending the official launch, please email erin@innovantpr.com. This accomplishment would not have been possible without the support of the following organizations: WiBotic, the provider of our wireless power transfer technology. Drop Mobility, the ebike provider for CDPHP Cycle!, who helped us retrofit their excellent ebikes to receive power wirelessly. Shared Mobility Inc, the operator of CDPHP Cycle!, who provided valuable insight into the impact of battery charging on bikeshare operations. The City of Amsterdam, NY (www.amsterdamny.gov) for hosting our charging station and the launch event. And finally, a big shout out to the Capital District Transportation Authority (www.cdta.org), owner of the bikeshare system, for their leadership in integrating bikeshare into larger transit systems and their willingness to support efforts to make bikeshare better. Excellent piece from the always insightful Alexandre Gauquelin about the potential of universal charging stations to improve shared mobility micromobility operations, and financial performance featuring re:Charge CEO Julien BOUGET. With battery swapping pilots in NYC, and a recent federal grant opportunity for micromobility charging infrastructure, there is a lot of attention being paid to micromobility charging these days. Stay tuned for some exciting news from re:Charge in the near future! #micromobility #charging #ebikes

Great to collaborate with the Wibotic team led by Ben Waters on the development of a critical missing piece of our urban landscape : a universal wireless charging infrastructure for energy-efficient EVs (ebikes, ecargo trikes and escooters), enabling a more equitable access to the electric mobility transition. We look forward to continuing this partnership.
Helping technology professionals understand electronics markets to support their success. Save time, reduce costs, increase efficiency, reduce risks, get support, and access customization.
As we continue to transition to alternative, sustainable transportation, charging remains a major issue. Not just for larger EVs either, public charging for eBikes is also needed. This article highlights a partnership between re:Charge and WiBotic that should help. https://lnkd.in/gma5rRN3 #technology #dataportl #technews #ebikes

This new report from ITDP is well worth the read. While it does a really good job making a case for electric bikes in transportation and environmental policy, there were two areas of the report related to micromobility charging that really stood out. The first was how the report makes a firm connection between the high cost of current charging operations (ie battery or vehicle swapping) and the high cost of shared mobility services that are ultimately passed along to the consumer. The high costs of operations will have a much larger impact on lower and middle income users who are already being left behind in the race to electrify transportation and need better access to affordable transportation options. The second is their recommendation for universal charging solutions, and the importance of cities working with utility providers and shared mobility companies on providing charging infrastructure. Universal micromobility charging solutions can help lower operating costs (and reduce fire risks from charging, and reduce GHG emissions and congestion from service vehicles, and improve vehicle uptime, and….) and at the same time improve profitability for operators and reduce the cost of shared mobility services to the public at large. This is why we founded re:Charge. If you want to learn more about our universal charging solutions, and the important role charging for electric micromobility can play, please visit us at www.recharge-e.com or email egilliland@recharge-e.com.

This is exciting news for NYC, and for electric micromobility as a whole. At re:Charge we imagine a world where charging stations for electric bikes, scooters and other smaller vehicles are as ubiquitous standard EV charging stations, hopefully even more so! Public access to universal electric bike and scooter charging facilities will help speed adoption of these critical modes, while also helping to reduce the number of fires from indoor charging of lower quality batteries. This pilot is a great step that we hope will lead to greater recognition of the importance of public charging for electric bikes and scooters can play in a more equitable and environmentally-friendly transportation system. Congrats to Newlab, Swobbee, Swiftmile and Popwheels for such a rapid and successful execution of the micromobility charging pilot. #charginginfrastructure #micromobility
