When you invest in a carbon, capture and storage (CCS) solution, you want the confidence that you’re getting next-generation technology and a partner with decades of expertise executing industrial projects at scale. Our alliance with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) ensures that you’re getting just that – a one-stop CCS solution for your emission-reduction needs. Our fully integrated offering includes leading liquid amine capture technology, transportation and storage. As an industrial customer, you need large-scale solutions. And MHI’s KM-CDR Process™ is one of the only CO2 capture technologies commercially demonstrated at greater than 1 million metric tons per year. Hear from Takajiro Ishikawa, President & CEO of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, about how we’re combining our expertise to help you reach your emission-reduction goals. https://lnkd.in/g5tRnH6j #Deliveringrealworldprogress #realworldprogress #CCS

  • The scale of the challenge to reduce carbon emissions around the globe is sizeable, but so too is our toolbox of solutions. Infrastructure is a key part of these solutions – we own and operate the largest network of CO₂ pipelines in the U.S., along with several onshore storage sites.       These carbon capture and storage capabilities are available to you – and other manufacturers seeking to find commercially viable, emission-reduction solutions. The scaled emissions impact you need, with minimal operational disruptions. That’s what we’re delivering. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/givyrNqF #CCS #emissions #ExxonMobil

  • A Texas-sized addition to our CCS portfolio. We are pleased to announce ExxonMobil has executed a lease with the Texas General Land Office (GLO) securing access to over 271,000-acres of offshore CO2 storage in Texas state waters. The lease is the largest of its kind in the U.S. This agreement adds significant storage potential to our carbon capture and storage portfolio, which includes a robust network of pipeline and storage capabilities throughout the Gulf Coast region. These capabilities, along with our expertise in subsurface, allow us to provide customers in hard-to-abate sectors with an end-to-end solution, including capture, transportation and storage. This #realworldprogress agreement will benefit the Texas Permanent School Fund, enhancing children’s education throughout Texas. Together with our customers, we are fueling real-world progress. We are excited to share we’ve entered into a definitive agreement with the New Generation Gas Gathering (NG3) project to transport and store up to 1.2 million metric tons a year (MTA) of CO2 from their facility in Louisiana. NG3 will gather and treat natural gas produced in east Texas and Louisiana for delivery to U.S. Gulf Coast markets, including for LNG export. This agreement represents a growing number of heavy industries advancing their lower emissions goals through our #carboncapture and storage technology. NG3 is our first natural gas customer. The NG3 project can rely on our existing robust CCS infrastructure including more than 1300 miles of CO2 pipelines across the US Gulf Coast, high-quality permanent storage space locations throughout the region and decades of experience executing subsurface projects safely and efficiently. We are on a mission to help the world’s largest emitters in hard-to-abate sectors advance the energy transition through #realwordprogress agreements. • The world’s leaders exploring ways to help hard-to-abate industries reduce their carbon emissions were in Copenhagen for World Hydrogen Week, where ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions experts laid out their vision for the future. Bert De Backker, Policy & Strategy Manager, EAME and Luca Volta, Venture Executive, Hydrogen, EAME were on hand to talk about their work to develop and grow a low-carbon hydrogen market for industrial customers. Building a new market takes a litany of pieces that need to fit together and stakeholders who come together – it isn't like flipping a switch. Bert touched on how ExxonMobil’s competitive advantages and value-chain integration will help provide real-world progress around hydrogen. Luca talked about the speed in which Low Carbon Solutions has moved in this space and the increased urgency required to make an impact on emissions. Take a look here for more of their insights:

  • We have the solution you need today. Our carbon capture and storage capabilities mean that manufacturers like you have a commercially viable solution available to cut emissions.   In fact, we currently oversee 1,500 miles of pipelines transporting carbon emissions and a number of strategically located onshore storage sites that can handle up to several million tons of CO₂ storage annually.       Developing projects at scale is something ExxonMobil has done for more than 100 years. Let’s work together to accelerate your carbon capture and storage needs: https://lnkd.in/gntgxc4w   #CCS #emissions #industry

  • We've been working closely with Zeeco, Inc., on a project to help our industrial manufacturing customers smoothly transition to low-carbon hydrogen. ZEECO®’s newly released FREE JET® Gen 3™ ultra-low-NOx, 100% hydrogen-ready burners provide industrial operators with the flexibility to use up to 100% hydrogen mixtures. As part of our transition to burning more low-carbon hydrogen at our Baytown site, we’re installing these burners and are eager to share learnings with customers as they pursue similar steps. Combining our low-carbon hydrogen with Zeeco’s burner technology, we’re providing customers with end-to-end solutions to meet their lower-emissions targets. Learn about this partnership in a @Chemical Engineering Magazine interview with ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions’ Mark Klewpatinond and Zeeco’s Eric Pratchard: https://lnkd.in/eU9cE6nJ. #realworldprogress #hydrogen
