Congratulations to Jack Willingham, director of the Yazoo County Emergency Management Agency, who today was recognized at NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE FIRE MARSHALS annual convention for his leadership and engagement to better prepare and educate first responders across the Gulf Coast and the nation about pipeline safety and emergency response management. Since a 2020 CO₂ pipeline incident in Yazoo County, Jack has taken lessons learned from that response to the national stage, urging enhanced engagement and cooperation between industry and first responders. Thank you and congratulations, Director Willingham! #Pipelinesafety #NASFM #CO2 #CCTS

EMPCo is honored to be a part of developing and continuing Dr. Tapia’s mission to education and STEM. #ExxonMobil #ExxonMobilLowCarbonSolutions
We want to take today to honor the person who made our summer camps possible — Dr. Richard Tapia, winner of the National Medal of Science. Campers met Dr. Tapia and heard his inspirational message that yes, they, too, belong in STEM. Dr. Tapia, we thank you for your dedication to empowering everyone, including underrepresented minorities, to become the next generation of leaders within STEM. We hope campers take the opportunity this week to learn and have fun! #ExxonMobil #ExxonMobilLowCarbonSolutions
As a camp icebreaker, we combined 50mL of sand and 50mL of water. Do you know what the volume of this mixture will be? Comment below with your answer and why! Our campers were surprised to learn the answer and how it relates to carbon capture and storage. #STEM #CCS #RiceTapiaCenter #RiceUniversity #RiceSchoolofEngineering

Congratulations to the winning teams! #ExxonMobil #ExxonMobilLowCarbonSolutions
Today was the Tapia Camp CCS engineering challenge! All week, students have been learning about carbon capture and storage with household materials like Play-Doh, pasta, beans and vegetable oil. Today, they used those materials to build a model underground reservoir and inject as much vegetable oil (representing liquid carbon dioxide) as possible – without any leaking. Congratulations to the winning teams! #STEM #CCS #RiceTapiaCenter #RiceUniversity #RiceSchoolofEngineering

EMPCo and Denbury representatives recently visited the Calcasieu Emergency Response Training Center in Calcasieu Parish, LA to facilitate a CO₂ Awareness Training for more than 40 firefighters from departments throughout the parish. During the training participants received information about our operating assets in the area and the growing CCS industry, with a focus on potential CO₂ hazards and emergency safety protocols. We thank all who attended from Ward 5, Ward 6, Houston River Fire Department, Lake Charles Fire Dept and DeQuincy Fire Department.

ExxonMobil Pipeline Company reposted this
First responders are everyday heroes. And with more CO2 pipelines planned to support the energy transition, we've updated our unique, hands-on pipeline safety course to help protect firefighters and their local communities. The best part? It's totally free for participants – we cover tuition, room, and board. In our most recent session with TEEX Fire and Emergency Services in College Station, Texas, firefighters set up a command center and responded to a controlled CO2 leak, rescuing a “dummy victim” from the scene. "You need to be fast on your feet, assess the situation, and make decisions. The hands-on training brings that to life," says ExxonMobil Emergency and Response and Preparedness Manager Mark Armstrong. #firstresponders #community #training
