WORLD GREEN BUILDING WEEK AT NDY: SMALL CHANGES, BIG IMPACT | NDY recently embraced World Green Building Week with activities that got our team thinking about small changes we can make for the environment. Here’s a recap of how we challenged ourselves to live and work greener: ♻️ On Monday, some of our offices went trash-free for a day, rethinking waste and embracing reusables. The average person generates 2kg of waste daily. 🥗 On Tuesday, our team swapped their usual lunches for greener, sustainable meals, showing how easy (and tasty) it is to reduce your carbon footprint. A plant-based diet can cut food-related emissions by up to 70%. 🚶♂️ In 2023, transport accounted for 16% of global greenhouse gas emissions. On Wednesday, we walked and cycled instead of driving, choosing cleaner commutes. 🌳 As one of our largest offices, offsetting our electricity use in Melbourne alone would take 37 trees per person annually. On Thursday, we gave out plants to symbolise our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint together. 📽️ On Friday, we gathered to watch an inspiring TED talk on climate action—sparking conversations about the urgent need to protect our environment and communities. These activities may be over, but our commitment to sustainability continues! Let us know in the comments the small steps you’re taking towards a greener tomorrow. #MakingSpacesWork #BuildingGreenForTheFuture Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Cosentini Associates | Glumac | Hoare Lea

To celebrate World Green Building Week, our London team invited clients to an exclusive tour of Stratford Pavilion, one of the city’s most forward-thinking sustainable developments. The event showcased how design for performance and sustainability can work hand in hand with the Pavilion earning a remarkable BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ score of 92%. Participants explored the Pavilion’s cross laminated timber construction, its role in reducing embodied carbon and the integration of Engie’s district heating and cooling network for optimal energy efficiency. Attendees also heard about the unique challenges of designing within site constraints, coordinating offsite prefabrication and incorporating architectural lighting into timber fins for seamless, energy efficient aesthetics. To round off an engaging day, guests enjoyed a delicious lunch at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen, savouring good food and great company in the Pavilion’s stunning setting. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable event! #MakingSpacesWork World Green Building Council | UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) | Christopher Blackburn | B&CO | Neil Gay | Storey | Nico Vieira | Lendlease | Simon W. | exigere | Daniel Perry | The Crown Estate | Malin Bergman Purwanto | Keigo Yoshida | ACME | Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Hoare Lea | Cosentini Associates | Glumac

Our Adelaide team celebrated World Green Building Week by hosting a workshop for clients, focusing on ‘Powering the Future: Decarbonising Commercial Buildings’. This interactive session brought together a diverse mix of perspectives on the decarbonisation journey. Attendees left with practical insights into decarbonising the built environment, tackling the challenges of electrification and uncovering energy-saving strategies that align with sustainability goals. The conversation covered sustainability trends in the market, essential methods for understanding energy end use in buildings and hands-on advice for determining heating loads as part of the electrification process. To top off an engaging afternoon, participants enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of #CoopersStadium, wrapping up with a great chance to connect and chat over a drink in the Club United room. A big thank you to Coopers Stadium and everyone who joined us and helped make the event a success! #MakingSpacesWork World Green Building Council | Green Building Council of Australia | Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Cosentini Associates | Glumac | Hoare Lea

During Australia's recent National Homelessness Week, the Property Industry Foundation hosted its annual Wrap Night. Our own Cathy Walsh and Shaun McNally took part in this evening of community, compassion and action where the group collectively packed 2,426 essential items. Among the most popular were 260 toothbrushes, 90 packs of lollies and 129 pairs of socks—small yet impactful contributions to those in need. These donations will make a real difference at the Early Bird Cafe, which feeds over 250 people experiencing homelessness in Sydney, and at Oasis Youth Services (The Salvation Army Australia) where young people in crisis find support. The NDY Charitable Trust has since donated $3,000 to the Early Bird Cafe to further extend our impact. We’re proud to support these incredible organisations and help create meaningful change for people doing it tough. #SupportForCommunitiesInNeed #NDYCharitableTrust NDY | NDYLIGHT | Engineering Commissioning Services | Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Tetra Tech
