    Tra il 23 e il 24 gennaio 2025 si è tenuto un incontro tra i docenti e i ricercatori del Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria del Politecnico di Milano e alcuni rappresentanti del gruppo industriale Leonardo. L'evento ha rappresentato un'importante occasione per discutere temi innovativi e favorire collaborazioni tra il mondo accademico e quello industriale. Le discussioni si sono concentrate su sistemi autonomi e senza pilota, con particolare attenzione alle tecnologie di intelligenza artificiale applicate alla sicurezza e ai processi decisionali. Grande spazio è stato dato alla robotica avanzata, con presentazioni e dimostrazioni di robot collaborativi e soluzioni per l'automazione industriale. Il dialogo ha riguardato anche tecnologie digitali avanzate, come i digital twin, utilizzati per simulare e ottimizzare processi complessi in tempo reale. L'incontro si è concluso con l'identificazione di possibili collaborazioni future in progetti di ricerca congiunta. --- On January 23-24 2025, a meeting took place between lecturers and researchers from the Department of Electronics, Information, and Bioengineering – Politecnico di Milano and representatives from the Leonardo industrial group. The event served as a valuable platform to explore cutting-edge topics and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. Discussions focused on autonomous and unmanned systems, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence technologies applied to safety and decision-making processes. Advanced robotics also featured prominently, with presentations and live demonstrations of collaborative robots and innovative industrial automation solutions. The dialogue further delved into advanced digital technologies, including digital twins, which are used to simulate and optimize complex processes in real time. The meeting concluded with the identification of potential avenues for future collaboration in joint research initiatives.

    Arriva alla sua terza edizione STEM UP!, il programma di Leonardo per favorire l’inserimento e lo sviluppo di candidate #STEM in azienda. Attraverso questa iniziativa, il Gruppo ha già assunto, presso gli stabilimenti di Cascina Costa di Samarate (VA), Vergiate (VA) e Sesto Calende (VA), 60 professioniste altamente qualificate in ambito di Scienza, Tecnologia, Ingegneria e Matematica. Giovanna Damiano, responsabile del Continuous Improvement dell’area di business Elicotteri, ha spiegato l'importanza di valorizzare il talento femminile, osservando come il programma abbia portato professioniste con lauree in discipline tecnico-scientifiche a contribuire significativamente all'innovazione aziendale. Il contributo di queste donne si estende oltre il progetto STEM, arricchendo Leonardo Elicotteri con una nuova energia e creando un ambiente che promuove la collaborazione, la diversità e il miglioramento continuo. Erika Zocchi, Recruiting & Internal Mobility - Leonardo Elicotteri, ha sottolineato come il progetto STEMup, lanciato nel 2023, miri a diversificare i team con donne laureate in ingegneria biomedica, energetica, chimica, fisica e matematica. “La selezione di laureate in discipline STEM permette di rispondere alle sfide tecniche e gestionali della divisione, contribuendo allo sviluppo di soluzioni innovative e alla trasformazione del business stesso. "Il nostro primo dovere è formare le persone che contribuiranno al futuro dell’azienda," ha poi aggiunto Francesco Rossetti, VP Education & Change Management - Leonardo Elicotteri, sottolineando l'importanza dell'ingresso di nuovi talenti in azienda per garantire continuità e innovazione.     On January 22, we had the pleasure of hosting in the #Leonardo Quantum Labs, in Rome, Prof. Tommaso Calarco who played a key role in building the European Quantum Flagship, and is now strongly active in the elaboration of the Italian Quantum Strategy.   It was exciting for our #Quantum Labs researchers to present to the Professor their ongoing research activities, with working prototypes in the domains of Quantum Imaging, Quantum Sensing for Navigation and Quantum Communications; and to discuss with him the motivations and field applications of the solutions developed.    The Leonardo Innovation Labs are the driving force behind the Group's technological innovation. And as such, this was a significant occasion to underscore Leonardo's commitment to supporting and contributing to the Italian and European strategy on Quantum Technologies.
