Incredibly excited to have been appointed Chair of Human Factors in Rail at the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors in addition to my role as Senior Engineer (Human Factors) at WSP! Thank you so much to Di Garfield, Paige Suthard and Ben Peachey for all your help behind the scenes and to past president Barry Kirby, long-time lecturer David Hitchcock and group hub, the University of Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE) for enthusiasm and ongoing support setting the foundations of the group. On the 20th February we're officially kicking off the sector group through a virtual seminar and bookings are open to all members to discuss the future of HF in rail; how we can encourage more people into the industry, passenger and freight human factors and innovations in the area (the invitation is also extended to anyone who is just interested in rail generally!) - I hope to see you there! 😁 https://lnkd.in/e-ikS3-6
