Exciting progress at King’s Road Park! We are thrilled to announce that the next phase of this transformative masterplan has received detailed planning approval, bringing 357 new homes and 1.9 acres of parkland and public space to Hammersmith & Fulham. Designed by Foster + Partners with Gillespies for St William (part of Berkeley Group Plc), the approved plans include two residential towers of 28 and 38 storeys, alongside a seven-storey podium building complete with residential amenity terraces and biodiverse roofs. The buildings sit within a new open landscape, which includes a new community park, public square, children’s play areas and walking routes. King’s Road Park is designed to set a new benchmark for sustainability, achieving an impressive 112% biodiversity net gain and an urban greening factor of 0.45, exceeding the GLA’s residential targets. Carefully curated planting will ensure resilience, promote biodiversity, and create a dynamic landscape that evolves with the seasons. At the heart of the development, the restored Grade II Listed gasholder*—the oldest surviving of its kind—will stand as a striking reminder of the site’s rich history. Transforming a redundant 16-acre gasworks within the Fulham Riverside Regeneration Area, King’s Road Park will ultimately deliver over 1,800 homes, including more than 600 affordable homes, six acres of green space, and 100,000 sq. ft of commercial uses. A huge congratulations to our incredible client and project team: St William (Berkeley Group Plc), Lichfields UK, GIA, URBAN MICROCLIMATE LIMITED, Buro Happold, Apt, BB7, and Neaves Urbanism We’re thrilled to watch King’s Road Park come to life, shaping a vibrant space where everyone can create and share their own story. Internal Team: Neil Matthew, Patrick Conn, Mariana Pinto, Emily Sutherland, Giacomo Guzzon, Teresa Carmelita and ex-colleagues, Melanie Schwartz and Abhinav Chaurasia

"In Brunswick, we saw this ripple effect where, as more green spaces were introduced, it encouraged residents to care more about their own spaces. It added a real sense of pride and ownership for them." – Warren Chapman This month has marked ten years since our work began on Brunswick, a residential regeneration project in the heart of Manchester city centre. As part of our celebration, we spoke to Warren Chapman from Gillespies, the landscape architects who helped shape Brunswick's green spaces. Last week in our #Leeds studio, we had the pleasure of hosting Chanel Derwent-Rickets (Chanel D.) and Libby Barratt, two talented third-year Landscape Architecture students from Leeds Beckett University. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to experience life at a landscape architecture practice. We were impressed by their enthusiasm, engagement, and the excellent design and graphic work they produced. We’re excited for their future in the profession! We’re thrilled they enjoyed their time with us, saying, “It’s been an amazing week—learning new software, going on a site visit, and speaking with the team about their experiences. This has been a big impact on our journey to becoming landscape architects.” Thank you, Chanel and Libby, for bringing your passion and fresh ideas to the studio. Special thanks to Leeds Beckett University for inviting us to be part of the Speed Mentoring Event—we’re proud to support the next generation of landscape architects and urban designers. #gilllespies #leedsbecketuniversity #landscapearchitecture #workexperience #mentoring #nextgeneration
