We wanted to raise the profile of the idea of 'gifts in wills' not just going to larger national charities - include them by all means, but please don't forget we are part of the future too! Most people (at least on LinkedIn) have the opportunity to have a positive impact after their time - it'll mean so much to the small, local charity in your life, wherever you are. We created an open invitation to charities in Swansea to come together and learn more, and got this film made so that all of us could share it and remind you that we're here too - so when you write or update your will, or if you're thinking about raising funds in memory of a loved one, bear in mind that the impact of your kindness will be that much more significant to the smaller charities. If you can't pick and you want to support ALL of us, remember that infrastructure organisations we couldn't do without (I'm looking at you, Swansea Council for Voluntary Service (SwanseaCVS)) are small charities too.
