What an amazing, jampacked few days at HLTH USA - and refreshingly, there was a deep emphasis on pelvic and women’s health. It all kicked off on Sunday with the ECHAlliance - The Global Health Connector partner programme with an expert panel of changemakers Dr. Emily Stein, Mark Amouzgar and Dr Irene Aninye, excellently moderated by Nicole Althaus, all advocating for advancement in women’s health. On Monday, our own Dr Siobhán Kelleher took to the stage in the ECHAlliance - The Global Health Connector Village to present OnaWave Medical's technology and it’s potential to change the care paradigm for #endometriosis (#EndoSolve). We met many more changemakers at our kiosk in the village, Alexander L Petti, a storyteller who has paved and shaped the way in endometriosis through education and awareness, Dylan Flood (Helfie) on a mission to facilitate access to care for the masses and the ever effervescent Dr. Brittany Barreto, Ph.D., authority on women’s health innovation and recent author of "Unlocking Women's Health". Outside the village, there was an equal call to #CloseTheWomensHealthGap. The main stage was packed to capacity not only for the First Lady Dr. Jill Biden’s address but also panel discussions with Maria Shriver, Lucy Perez, Halle Berry, Chelsea Clinton, Dr Carolyn Mazure, Dr Renee Wegrzyn and many more – all challenging the myths around women’s health and calling for increased action from all stakeholders to accelerate women’s health research to ensure healthy and equitable societies and economies. We were excited to chat with Dr. Chandana Fitzgerald, Julie Carty and Luke Pawley to learn about HLTH Community's (HLTH Inc.) plans to continue this conversation, building on the momentum created. The tide is turning…
