The Urban Land Institute is a 501c(3) nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members. Founded in 1936, the institute now has almost 40,000 members in 95 countries worldwide, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service. Last night, our Young Leaders Group Mentorship Program gathered at The Randi for a summer social, marking the midpoint of our program. It was a delightful opportunity to reconnect with the entire group and engage with fellow mentors and mentees. A special thank you to C.W. Urban for hosting us, and to Walker Wood for speaking on his background, the details of The Randi project, and C.W.'s strategic approach to current housing issues. We also extend our gratitude to Connie Gonzalez, our YLG Committee Chair, for sharing some inspiring words on the value of mentorship. Our mentors—Michael Bingham, Elizabeth Cole, and Lloyd Allen—are truly exceptional individuals and we are grateful for their generous donation of time and guidance.
