The Flying Doctor meets the Flying Kangaroo! ✈️🦘 A new partnership is welcoming Qantas apprentice engineers to undertake a three-month placement in the RFDS WA hangar in Jandakot. Head of Line Maintenance at Qantas David Tang says the airline’s major aircraft maintenance and overhaul services take place on the east coast. This program will provide their WA apprentices with a wide range of experience, including the removal and installation of wings and engines. “We have previously struggled to find suitable on-the-job training opportunities so this is a way to make sure our apprentices can get training in WA, and that they don’t have to be based interstate for months at a time,” said Mr Tang. RFDS WA Head of Engineering Andy Lewis says it’s a fantastic collaboration between two iconic Australian brands. “Together RFDS WA and Qantas are investing in the training and futures of young people, as well as the sustainability of the aviation industry in Australia. This is a win-win for everyone.” said Mr Lewis.

Our crews will always be there if you need us, but we hope you never do ❤💙 Read more 👉 https://lnkd.in/gxDXR8fn
