With the help of Liam Williams, we are delighted to have secured planning and Listed Building consent for the change of use with alterations of a prominent Listed Building in the heart of the town of Haverfordwest for the purposes of a number of one bedroom flats, retaining a commercial element on the ground floor. The building was once home to a prestigious and historic local department store and included a range of original features, which with careful consideration, were retained as part of the approved proposals and will continue to form part of its future use. #townplanning #pembrokeshire

Wonderful to see the next phase of PTE designed infil developments with 14 low energy council homes taking shape. Despite being challenging infil sites, the designs make use of our standardised housetypes, helping to manage costs and simplify construction - making this type of site more viable. As well as providing more council homes, the finished schemes will improve urban design and natural surveillance to the surrounding streets and green spaces. We know there is no one-size-fits-all solution to the housing crisis but we think this kind of repeatable intelligent infil is an important tool in the box. Providing more homes in already developed areas improves densities that help to support local services. Also, as I said in a talk I gave last week, make better use of the space you’ve got - and it’s another green field saved 🌳
At Aragon Close and Sackville Close, we are replacing existing garages and hard standing at each development with seven new two bedroom, low-carbon council homes, designed using Passivhaus principles. The homes will have very low energy use and heating costs, with thick highly insulated walls and gas-free heating. The developments will also provide car parking, landscaping, and cycle storage. Plans have been revealed that show proposals to transform the building that currently houses Swansea’s McDonalds at Castle Square. The proposals by local development group Kartay involve remodelling the empty third and fourth floors of the five-story building and building a five-story extension. Developer say the proposed refurbishment will provide 29 apartments to the upper floors, including 16 one-bedroom flats and 13 two-bedroom flats. https://lnkd.in/gik_JK6e #swansea #citycentre

Shreveport's Lakeside Gardens apartment complex has announced a $38.1 million renovation plan, which will add 22 new units and upgrade the 55-year-old property, ensuring continued affordable housing in the area. Louisiana leaders, including State Sen. Sam Jenkins and developer Jasmine Winston-Wilson, praised the investment, noting that without these renovations, the complex would have ceased to exist.
