The Zero Hunger Pledge gathers commitments from the private sector to support a global call to end hunger. 🌏 Morination Agricultural Products, led by Sharon Jean Gonzales- Gulmatico, has pledged USD 2.3 million to help small farmers in the Philippines, with the ambition to double the annual incomes of households. It provides trainings to farmers to improve skills and techniques, facilities to store their harvest and access to health services. Morination also engages in advocacy for sustainable food supply chains with United Nations agencies and other businesses. 👏 We will succeed in achieving #SDG2 only with the support of all sectors of society, including the private sector. 📞 This is an open call to companies of all sizes and from all over the world. 📢 The Zero Hunger Private Sector Pledge is a call to companies of all sizes and from around the world to join the global movement to end hunger. 🌍 🖐 BASF answered and pledged to contribute by empowering smallholders, improving agriculture infrastructure and supporting public health initiatives, among others. This includes vocational training, malaria prevention programs as well as technical assistance and support for seed production and food fortification. The World Benchmarking Alliance has updated its Nature Benchmark, assessing how more than 800 major companies across varied sectors are impacting nature and protecting and restoring ecosystems. In a blog we recently co-authored, we stressed the importance of corporate action and accountability in achieving #SDG2 and eradicating hunger.
