Henry J Lyons Architects is an Irish architectural practice based in Dublin City Centre. Our studios are located on Pearse Street, Dublin 2 and at Alberts Quay in Cork. We have a team of over 280 architects, designers and support staff who work on building projects throughout Ireland and Worldwide. Our work includes architecture, interior design, masterplanning and conservation projects. We also provide consultancy services to assist our clients navigate through the highly regulated environment in which buildings are created. Our practice, over the last 100 years, has gained an in-depth working knowledge of many building types including workplace, civic, educational, urban regeneration, science/technology, health, residential, hospitality, leisure and retail projects. The practice’s work is structured and research based, and is also characterised by a very high level of collaboration with our clients. Our in-house design teams work closely with specialist disciplines to create buildings and places that aspire to be unique and uplifting to both the end users and the public. The quality of our work has been recognised by multiple awards from the design community and the construction industry, and the level of service we provide is reflected in the number of clients who return to us.

Congratulations to our colleague Gabor on being awarded Highly Commended at the #ATAwards for his outstanding dissertation!
I am incredibly delighted to announce that at this year's #ATAwards I have been awarded Highly Commended for my report and dissertation! This year's awards had an absolutely fantastic venue, organised at Christ Church Spitalfields in London. During the event every second seemed to be packed with excitement and suprises and unexpected encounters. It was truly and electrifying experience. Before I knew it, the event had come to an end, feeling more like a thrilling blur than a stretch of time. Well done to all the finalists and winners in all categories! Congratulations to the people in my category Amelia Bambra, Tehillah Sihlabela, Muhammad Daanyaal, well done Billy Cripps for achieving Commended and a massive congrats to the winner, my fellow Irish man Killian Collins ACIAT who has put in extraordinary effort and have truly out done himself and is making a big impact in our industry! Its been my pleasure to meet such great talent working at leading companies. A special shout out to Luke Wells who is a finalist in the project category, and my past team mate in the 2023 Tri-varsity at Waterford and achieved a joined first place with our high rise tower. So once again, I would like to thank my lecturers, dedicated mentors and inspiring educators who have nurtured me in the past four years have now given me this opportunity to kickstart a powerful start to my career, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Mental Health Awareness week 🧠 This week we took some time to prioritise our mental wellbeing by coming together for meaningful activities focused on well-being, connection, and self-care. 🧠 Mindfulness Session – We invited Laura Farrington (a Neuroscience-based Life Coach, Podcast Host, Yoga and Meditation Teacher and Owner of Umbrella Wellness), in to host a session on 'Managing Your Mental Health Through Mindfulness'. The aim of this session was to help employees practice presence and understand how they can avoid stress and burnout. 🧘♀️Yoga Classes – Our team enjoyed a yoga session to help reduce stress, improve focus, and promote relaxation. ☕ Coffee Morning – We hosted a coffee morning in aid of Pieta House, creating space for colleagues to connect, share, and support one another over a cup of coffee. #MentalHealthMatters #WellbeingAtWork #MindfulnessAndSelfCare #PietaHouse

The recently completed reception in the Cadenza building merges a modern aesthetic with a native material palette, drawing inspiration from the Irish countryside. The space is animated by a bespoke coffee dock and an organically shaped, 3D-printed reception desk, which serves as both a functional element and a piece of art, resulting in a distinctive and inviting environment. HJL collaborated with Irish Fashion designer Helen Hayes for the photoshoot. Cadenza has been shortlisted for the 2024 Fitout Awards in the Medium Office Category.
