First trailer For Warner Bros "The Legend of Tarzan" Movie

A first trailer for the new "The Legend of Tarzan" movie has been released, and this Warner Bros production looks pretty good. It will be released next Summer, and plenty of great actors are playing in the movie, as you'll see in the list below.

"From Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures comes the action adventure “The Legend of Tarzan,” starring Alexander Skarsgård (HBO’s “True Blood”) as the legendary character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

The film also stars Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson (“Pulp Fiction,” the “Captain America” films), Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street”), Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (“Blood Diamond,” “Gladiator”), Oscar nominee John Hurt (“The Elephant Man,” the “Harry Potter” films), with Oscar winner Jim Broadbent (“Iris”), and two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds,” “Django Unchained”).

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side.

Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash."

Hong Kong Disneyland Opens Charming Fairy Tale Forest at Fantasyland - Full report With Pictures and Video !

It's not every day that we have the opening of a new Disney attraction, especially in winter time, but starting tomorrow Hong Kong Disneyland Fairy Tale Forest - presented by PANDORA - will have its soft opening for HKDL Magic Access members starting tomorrow Friday Dec 11 until Dec 14, and the attraction will be open for everyone starting December 17. Plenty of pictures and even a first video await you below!

Here is the official HKDL release: "From December 17, guests will be able to take a walk through the enchanting “Fairy Tale Forest” at Fantasyland. Along with Tinker Bell, guests can step into the fairy-sized world of Pixie Hollow and journey through oversized topiary mushrooms and clovers while re-living the iconic scenes from five of Disney’s classic Princess stories – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Cinderella,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Tangled.”

“Since its conceptualization, we have spent over two years to build the ‘Fairy Tale Forest’,” said Kelly Willis, Director of Creative Development and Show Quality, Walt Disney Imagineering. “It is an intricately designed maze set in a beautiful garden, presenting charming scenes and music from five cherished fairytales. This whimsical new attraction is bound to give guests more opportunities to create magical memories.”

HKDL guests enter Fairy Tale Forest by walking through an arch and then discover the beautiful landscaping of the entrance garden.

Five scenes of Disney’s classic Princess stories – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Cinderella,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Tangled” awaits the visitors, plus a meet and greet with Tinkerbell at Pixie Hollow. For each scene there is a kind of "Story Book Land" miniature decor, plus an animated scene. Let's start with the one for Beauty and the Beast with Beast Castle upon its rock and Belle and the Beast dancing inside the castle.

The scene also include an animated "Be Our Guest" sequence.

Let's have a look now to the Snow White scene with an animated one with the dwarfs in the mine.

And a rolling mine wagon with Dopey.

Next, Cinderella Castle...

The scene with the Tangled tower, with day and night pictures.

...and the animated scene.

The Little Mermaid scene with Eric Castle...

King Triton castle...

...and more animated scenes, including one with Ariel and Eric....

Here is a short video showing the animated scene.

...and one with the "Under the Sea" sequence.

Here is a short video showing the animated scene.

There is more to see in Fairy Tale Forest with Pixie Hollow and Tinkerbell awaiting you!

A first video was uploaded on Youtube by Stella Yeung and although it doesn't show all the scenes i suggest that you have a look at it. The pictures above as good as they are don't show how charming Fairy Tale Forest is. Personally i like this new HKDL addition a lot. For sure, it's an attraction for young children and "girls" - the one for "boys" will come next year with Iron Man Experience - but i really find it charming and i'm sure it'll be successful with HKDL guests.

One new video posted by Disney Magical Kingdom showing all the animated scenes in details!

Shanghai Disneyland Enchanted Storybook Castle Update

A short Shanghaî Disneyland update as the SDL site released two high-res digital renderings for Enchanted Storybook Castle, the first one showing the castle interior courtyard...

...and the next one is showing the restaurant, also inside the castle. Others elements show a video of the Bobiddi Boo make-up boutique but it's a video shot in the U.S , so nothing special.

As we're talking about the castle, i add this new picture shot on site and posted on Chinese social medias sites.

More Shanghaî Disneyland updates coming soon!

Rare Blueprints of St. Louis Disney Theme Park that Never Was

Imagine packing up the kids and heading for that dream vacation to a Disney theme park in the south of the U.S, but not in Orlando, Florida… but in St. Louis. It almost happened, and one of the few remnants of the Disney park that might have been goes on a Profile in History auction next week, 13 pages of 1963 blueprints spelling out plans for “Walt Disney’s Riverfront Square” in St. Louis.

Back in 1963 Disney wanted to build a fully enclosed indoor theme park near the Mississippi River, blocks from the Gateway Arch that was under construction at the time. Money doomed the project. Disney was willing to pay the cost of rides and attractions but wanted St.Louis leaders to foot the bill for the building, and they refused. Disney officially dropped out in 1965 and turned attention to Florida, where Walt Disney World is now the most visited theme park resort in the world.

More interesting is what we can see on these blueprints, and what attractions were envisioned for this St Louis indoor Disney theme park on three different levels. Five blueprints ( on 13 ) are visible on the auction site but we can see that a Circarama 360° attraction, an Audio-Animatronics show as well as a Diorama about people who helped to conquest the West were envisioned as well as a dark ride, a Blue Bayou boat adventure attraction / also called "Jean Lafitte Adventure" and which seems to be an early concept of the coming Pirates of Caribbean ride, and a Lewis and Clark Adventure ride, an idea which will be back in the concept of the Disney's America theme park, which also never was for different reasons.

Profiles in History released the five blueprints and in small size and low-res so you'll need to click on and then enlarge each picture below to see a bit more clearly, if i can say... You can see the full auction catalogue HERE.

Editor's Note: Disney and more updates should be back this Tuesday night as i should have a better WIFI connection than the terrible one i had all the week-end... In the meantime an interesting bit of info coming from DCP forum member Vinc who claim to have an info from a reliable source saying that Shanghaî Disneyland opening is planned for a specific date in June ...but others sources keep saying that they still doubt the park can be ready for that date.
That said, June is what i would have bet on without any source as the weathers good at that time. But i think honestly that they probably don’t even know it for sure, they’re just trying to be ready for a specific day in June because it is a date in Chinese symbolism supposed to bring luck and happiness…
