Incredible Video Showing Three Guys Having the Bicycle Ride of Their Life at Shanghaî Disneyland Construction Site!

A faithful D&M reader just sent me a link to a truly incredible-but-real video showing three guys in Shanghaî who decided to have a bicycle ride up to Shanghaî Disneyland construction site and to film everything with a GoPro camera fixed on the head of one of them... providing us the first video ever showing shots of SDL filmed from the ground - and with the music of "The Bear Necessities"! And what happen next is amazing.

The first two minutes of the video show them riding on the roads of Shanghaî in direction to Shanghaî Disneyland, and then, suddenly, the next shot show them near SDL lake where are the Spicy Alley restaurants building - don't ask me how they've been through the entrance site security if there is any as i don't know how.

Then, always riding on their bicycles they ride INSIDE Disney Town - SDL entertainment and dining area next to the park - the building with the green dome structure below is i think SDL World of Disney Store...

The next sequence show them walking up a platform AND the scaffoldings where they meet Chinese workers who apparently are asking themselves who the hell are these guys. Some of them seems to told the three guys that they can't move forward on the scaffoldings, but they succeed to get closer to have a stunning view right above Shanghaî Disneyland Gardens of Imagination - SDL "Central Plaza" with the castle in the background on the left and Adventure Isle on the right. The blue dome of Fantasia Carousel is also visible on the right.

If you think the ride was over, just wait. Then, as obviously they couldn't get closer to the park - i suppose there are limits to transgression (!) - they go back to Shanghaî Disneyland lake...

And there, have a ride on the lake with a motor boat! ...and enjoy great view of the Shanghaî Disneyland hotel...

The video then ends with the boat coming back to the pier.

Now, there is no doubt that Disney is going to get mad when they'll see the video. I hope no Chinese workers will be blamed as they are obviously not responsible - you can see this in the workers reactions when they see the three guys arriving. Nothing bad happened, the three guys were just there for a bit of transgressive ride but the video is also interesting by what it shows of the park construction. Most of the building seems to be built now, but when we look at the Gardens of Imagination plaza which is supposed to look like a real garden in six months or so, it's hard to believe they'll be on time for opening day if the date is not changed.

Anyway, as i'm sure you're dying to see the video here it is, and feel free to leave your comments below! One more thing: in the video, specially on the shot filmed over the Gardens of Imagination the park looks huge but remember that it was filmed with a GoPro camera which has a hyper wide angle, showing things larger than they are in real.

Shanghaî Disneyland Update : New Drone Video !

We're back again at Shanghaî Disneyland to start the week as a new drone video was released in China. As usual i did screen captures for you telling you where is what.

I couldn't embed the video from the Youku website but you can watch it HERE.

The drone flight starts from the back of SDL Tomorrowland and the blue building you see on the right is the Tron Light Cycles Power Run show building - you can see a bit or the outdoor Tron "cover" on its right.

The drone then fly towards the castle and over fantasyland buildings, the one for the peter Pan Flight ride being most probably the building in the left bottom corner. On the left of the castle, the Voyage to the Crystal Grotto ride.

Getting closer to Enchanted Storybook castle...

The drone then turn to be right in front of the castle

On the right of the castle, the Alice in Wonderland Maze... and behind the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster...

The drone then turn back and will return by flying to Tomorrowland but first this nice shot from behind the highest towers of SDL castle, with the Tron cover structure in the background.

Interesting things to note on these views of the flight towards Tomorrowland, starting by how close to the castle is the Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride...

The park is almost completed but but they have a serious problem of vegetation which is yet to come.

getting closer and closer to Tomorrowland with the Jet Packs ride on the bottom left. Interesting also to see that the path from the Gardens of Imagination ( SDL central Plaza ) is leading to the elevated walkway of Tomorrowland... So you won't have to go up to reach it - but you'll have probably to walk down to access the restaurant and shops down there.

A last - and closer - look to the Tron "cover" structure now completed!

That's it for today's Shanghaî Disneyland update, more to come soon, and in the meantime i remind you that you have until midnight L.A time ( 9 A;M paris time on Tuesday morning ) to enjoy the Black Friday price on the Disneyland Paris book, see on the post below or HERE.

Shanghaî Disneyland Update : New Spectacular Drone Video !

We'll stay at Shanghaî Disneyland to start the week as a new video filmed last week from a drone over the park has been released by the Chinese! As usual i did screen captures for you - make sure to click on each to see them in big size - and you also have the video at the end of the article.

This time the drone did apparently its lift-off from behind Fantasyland...

...providing a great view of the whole park and resort, with the lake and SDL Hotel in the background. Tomorrowland is on the right.

...flying over Fantasyland with Seven Dwarfs Mine ride on the bottom left.

SDL Castle, Journey to the Crystal Grotto on the bottom center and Alice in Wonderland labyrinth on the left of the castle.

The video then turn left towards Treasure Cove and we have a closer shot of Seven Dwarfs Mine ride mountain. But look at the "back" of the mountain which is surprisingly "open". Very strange, i wonder if it'll stay like this or of they will "close" it later. Not sure, though, as it's strange that they didn't did it already. Probably it'll stay open for an easy technical access, especially if that side won't be seen by the guests. Still, i find it this odd...

The building roof at the bottom left is the one of the Pirates of Caribbean show building. On the middle left is Treasure Cove  Lagoon, not yet filled with water.

And here is the video as i'm sure you'r dying to see it! See you soon for a new Shanghaî Disneyland update!

Shanghaî Disneyland Update : New Pictures and Video !

We're back at Shanghaî today for a new update on Shanghaî Disneyland! With almost everything about the park and resort announced by Bob Iger two weeks ago there's not a lot more to learn right now, but there is still more to see thanks to a Chinese TV report which include some interesting shots. Some of them were filmed one or two months ago but that's not the problem when they show any part of the park we've not seen before.

We'll start by interesting shots of the SDL model filmed when Iger did its announcement and this first one on the top shows the park entrance. On the one below you can see the entrance of Disney Town -  the park entrance is in the background on the top right -  and the big structure in the foreground is most probably the World of Disney store.

Next is an interesting shot showing the Journey to the Crystal Grotto boat ride model with SDL castle in the background.

And this last one shows Roaring Rapids, the loading area in the foreground, with Camp Discovery in the background, on the right.

Time now to have a look at pictures of the park, starting with these shots of the works on SDL Castle.

This next picture shows SDL castle in the background with Tomorrowland elevated walkways in the foreground.

Next pictures are close shots on the Roaring Rapids mountain with workers working on it. All these screen captures are not very sharp but the original video was in low-res and, after enhancement, this is the best we can get.

The next picture shows something more difficult to guess but i think it's Shipwreck Shore in Treasure Cove - you can guess the wrecked ship...

Another ship - may be the same one? - in Treasure Cove.

SDL Pirates of Caribbean fortress and the ride show building in Treasure Cove, seen more or less from behind.

The last three pictures show the same building. The question is: which one? It could be El Teatro Fandango where will take place the Pirates stunt show... but the red color of the structure as well as the art-deco design on the top makes me think that it could be the Walt Disney Grand Theater in Disney Town. The bets are open!

All-right, as i'm sure you want to see the video from which i did these screen shots, here it is, and see you soon for a new Shanghaî Disneyland update!

New Drone Video Over Shanghaî Disneyland Construction Site

A new Chinese video was filmed, using as usual a drone flying over Shanghaî Disneyland construction site, and if the sky was not the best to have a good contrast - due to the fact that it was probably filmed early morning to have the drone as "invisible" as possible, it's pretty well filmed and may be the best video i've seen so far. It's also the most recent one showing the construction of the park as it was one week ago.

I have for you some enhanced screen captures from the video below, so you can have a closer look at what point SDL lands are currently, and you can see them in the D&M Facebook album HERE. The two pictures showing some green fields nearby are showing in fact the land where will be build Shanghaî Disneyland second gate.

Don't forget to follow my posts each day on the D&M Facebook page HERE!
