Summer of Marvel Super Heroes Season Debut at DLP Walt Disney Studios, FULL Video Report, Including Marvel Super Heroes United Stunt Show

The "Summer of Marvel Super Heroes" season started yesterday at DLP Walt Disney Studios and we have a full video report for you thanks to Max, D&M contributor and DLP Welcome webmaster.

The opening happened this week-end with a short opening show in front of DLP WDS entrance.

The main show of this "Summer of Marvel Super Heroes" is of course the brand new "Marvel Super Heroes United" stunt show and giant statues are now in place on the plaza in front of the former Cinemagique theatre as you'll see in this video filmed by Mulderville on June 8.

And now, here is the full "Marvel Super Heroes United" stunt show, filmed by Max in 4K for D&M!

Unfortunately, as enjoyable as the show can be,  it didn't took long to have a technical problem as you'll see in the short video below.

Right in front of the Tower of Terror there is also a new outdoor show "Stark Expo", playing several times a day.

Guests seems to have really enjoyed the new stunt show, which will be for sure highly popular all along the Summer of Marvel Super Heroes season!

MORE About Disneyland Paris Two Billion Euros Announcement And Walt Disney Studios Expansion

Last Tuesday announcement of a Two Billion investment plan to build new lands and attractions at Disneyland Paris Walt Disney Studios stunned all DLP fans and we'll have today a closer look at it with more infos and answers to some of your questions.

Let's start first by what is probably the most important as i know that many of you had a very close look at the artwork released last week and some have even complain about this or that. So, let's say it directly: this rendering is NOT the final rendering and was done mostly to show where will be what, with different elements copy and pasted - a bit like they did many years ago for the first bird eye view rendering of Shanghaî Disneyland - as Disney needed to have something to show for the big announcement. So, save your energy and no need to complain as the final artworks for each land will come later. For instance, looking at the new artwork some of you said that Star Wars land looks smaller than the ones in the U.S. Actually i can tell you that it won't be really smaller, may be a little bit but not as smaller as some of you might think.

Also, DLP Imagineering is still in "blue sky mode" on all these new additions for the Walt Disney Studios, meaning that some of the attractions or restaurants, shops, etc... that will be in each new lands are not totally decided yet - except of course for the Iron Man ride officially announced last month. Final artworks will be released in a near future so take the artwork released last Tuesday with a pinch of salt as there WILL be changes, even if the global look of the lands and their locations will remain the same.

However, obviously some of the additions will have similarities with others already built or opening in a near future in others Disney theme parks. For instance, the Frozen land obviously will look quite similar to the one which will be open at HKDL, even if the different elements ( the Arendelle village, the castle, the mountain with Elsa ice palace ) will be placed differently. So, a look to the HKDL renderings below is probably the best way to have an idea of how the Frozen land will look once it will be built at Walt Disney Studios.

Also, although not announced officially last Tuesday, everyone has noticed ( picture on the top left below ) that DLP WDS Toy Story Playland will get a new addition with the Alien Swirling Saucers attraction, similar to the one opening next month at WDW DHS Toy Story Land. I can confirm that indeed Alien Swirling Saucers will be added to WDS Toy Story Playland and the artwork released for the WDW DHS version give you a perfect idea of how it will look. By the way, some think that this attraction will be too similar to the little Cars ride in front of Crush Coaster but, although it may look similar, it will be in fact a different ride.

One more thing: on the new WDS artwork some have also noticed a giant Woody near the attraction. Logically, to fit with the little green aliens ride it should be a giant Buzz Lightyear like the one they will put at WDW DHS but, as there is already a giant Buzz at the entrance of WDS TSL, of course they are not going to put a second one. That said, a giant Woody near Alien Swirling Saucers don't look to me to fit perfectly thematically, so may be they will move the giant Buzz near Alien Swirling Saucers and put the giant Woody instead at the entrance of Toy Story Playland which would be much better, in my opinion. Or may be the giant Woody will simply be cancelled, we'll see what happen.

Let's have a look now at both the rendering and a Google Earth screen capture shot more or less on the same angle than the official bird eye view artwork. As you will see on the picture below ( click to enlarge the picture ), once built - in addition to the new lake at the center - the Frozen and Star Wars land will take a lot of room and probably will - or almost - reach the regular road in the back of the WDS or the road on the left. DLP Imagineers will still have room for a new land on the right in what was previously DLP backstage offices and they'll be able to use the land as most of the people who were working there have now moved in new buildings built nearby at Val d'Europe.

First, obviously you can say goodbye to the Tram Tour as well as Catastrophe Canyon and the London scene. Some will regret Catastrophe Canyon ( i will ) but most won't regret the rest of the tour, and anyway there is no other choice, so...

In Marvel land in addition to the Iron Man ride the "Moteurs, Action" stunt show will become a Marvel stunt show. Although you can't see it clearly on the artwork it's no big secret as it it was rumored since months, and it will be a brand new stunt show, not just a change of background sets! Also, and always in the Marvel land, everyone knows that the first attraction to get the axe will be the Armageddon attraction and it remain to be known which kind of ride will replace it. Rumors that the area will be used for a Marvel characters meet and greet may be right, but it should be temporary.

The new stunt show should stay however for a few years and, no, contrary to what some of you think - or may have think by seeing on the artwork the Avengers jet plane at the entrance of the stunt show, the big E-Ticket Avengers attraction that will open in five years at HKDL ( artwork below ) will not be built at WDS Marvel land, at least for now. The completion date announced by Bob Iger for all the new lands is 2025, and the Avengers ride will not be built for that date. As i know that some will be furious, let's put it like this: there is limits to everything, including to a 2 Billion euros investment. At one point you need to make choices to make sure that you can have the best possible expansion plan. Again, it doesn't mean that this highly awaited Avengers ride will not be added in the future, and my guess is that it probably will be, but the good point is that they'll have the room for it when it will be decided as the Stunt Show takes a huge space so they'll have the needed land to build the Avengers ride.

One more thing, about the Iron Man ride: the good folks of ED92 indicates that it will be an “Augmented Reality coaster". Actually, this might not be quite the case but i can't tell you more for now, so i'll keep more details about this for a future article specially dedicated to the Iron Man ride.

Let's have a look now at Star Wars land which, as i've said above, should not be much smaller than the versions at DL and WDW, even if it look smaller on the artwork. Will the land include a big E-ticket ride like they'll have in the U.S? Yes, it will and for now i can't tell you more about it. Also, some have been quick to notice that the Millennium Falcon is not on the artwork on the platform where it will be in the U.S versions. Does that mean that the Millenium Falcon ride in which DL or WDW guests will enjoy a simulated mission in the Falcon cockpit won't be included in WDS Star Wars land? The truth is that no final decision has been taken yet and my guess is that they might wait for DL and WDW Star Wars lands opening next year to see how popular the ride will be and if the capacity per hour is satisfying. So, you'll have to wait a bit more for this one to know if it will be at WDS SWL, or not.

However there is something interesting to notice, and it's the fact that Star Wars land will be located on the left of Frozen land, and not on the right, placing it not far from the road with Val d'Europe on the other side and a big piece of land in between. It has long been rumored that DLP envision to build a hotel near the WDS and, considering the proximity of Star Wars land, i'm wondering if they intend to build a Star Wars hotel on this land just like they will do at WDW near DHS Star Wars land. I don't know yet if it will be the case - i really don't - but i suggest that we'll keep a look at this area to see how they will use it in the future.

Let's move to Frozen land which, as you saw, will certainly have a lot of similarities with the one to be build at HKDL. Among the questions that you had about it was if there will be a ride inside the mountain - a kind of "Matterhorn" coaster" with a Frozen theme and with the Marshmallow character instead of the abominable snowman. It sure would be an exciting ride and as you can guess you are not the only ones to have think about it. And the truth is that no decision have been taken yet, for a lot of different reasons, not necessarily financial ones. So, for that one too, you'll have to wait that DLP Imagineers end their Blue Sky period and announce the final attractions projects. One thing is sure: there will be at least an E-Ticket attraction in the Frozen land, one way or another.

There was also a question about the preserved little forest located on the right of the Ratatouille area - where i've put a white question mark ( point d'interrogation ). What is sure for now is that none of the three new lands announced will be build in the forest area, so so far the forest area is preserved.

Another question was about the long avenue going from the exit of the Studio 1 to the central lake where it seems to have no building left and right of the avenue but just vegetation. Although i think they don't intend to extend the Hollywood Blvd up to the lake that part is among the ones which could see changes. But there will be probably vegetation one way or another, at least to hide show buildings nearby.

One last thing, and it's about the lake at the center as all of you have noticed the fountains on it and suspect that there will be an evening fountains show like World of Color. So, yes, an evening fountains show is planned and, no, it will NOT be World of Color but a brand new show, and a spectacular one!

Also, the announced investment budget is 2 Billion Euros and the cost for the three new lands including the Toy Story Playland addition is probably between 1 and 1.3 Billion. Meaning that on the 2 Billion will remain around 1 Billion or 700 Million Euros to be spent on others attractions. I was not alone to do the maths and of course many of you have listed their favorite attractions that they wish to have at DLP Magic Kingdom or the WDS, wondering if they are in the plans. Although i'm not allowed to tell you how will be spent the remaining amount or what attractions will be build i can tell you what will be NOT build. So, in the list of the attractions that were wished i can confirm that there won't be a Cars Land, as well as no Toy Story Mania, no Soaring, no Mysterious Island, no TRON Lightcycles ride, and no Discovery Bay. None of them are envisioned for now whether for the WDS or DLP "Magic Kingdom". And no Avatar land too, at least for now, we'll see what the future will bring if the upcoming sequels filmed by James Cameron happen to be as successful as the first Avatar film.

There was also questions about the long rumored third gate/park: i know every DLP fan is dreaming of a third park but the truth is, if you read well the convention signed between EuroDisney and the French state, that there is no mention explicitly of a "third park" but only of an entertainment area, or so. In two words, i'll be you i'll forget about a third park, at least for the near future, except if the plans will be changed.

Is there anything more? Of course there is more, there is always more coming in Disney theme parks, but sorry, that will be for another day. In the meantime, have some sweet dreams as for once DLP future looks bright!

MAJOR BREAKING NEWS : Disneyland Paris Announces Development Plan of New Lands and Rides For TWO BILLION EUROS ! Star Wars Land, Marvel Land AND Frozen Land Coming to Walt Disney Studios!!!

Today IS the BIG day that all Disneyland Paris fans were awaiting for since years and years as Bob Iger and Disneyland Paris officially announced that Disney will invest TWO BILLION EUROS - 2.5 Billion Dollars! -  in new attractions and lands at Disneyland Paris Resort in the coming years.

And not only this phenomenal amount was announced - $2.5 Billion is probably more or less what DLP entire first park had cost 25 years ago - but also was revealed the name of the coming lands and attractions and a Marvel land, a Star Wars land, AND a Frozen land are coming at DLP Walt Disney Studios, with lands opening in phases, starting 2021!

Here is the official press releases in English, and in French after it with the above concept-art animated:

Disney Announces Transformative Multi-Year Expansion for Disneyland Paris Walt Disney Studios Park to get new areas based on Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars

PARIS, February 27, 2018 – Today, Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company Robert A. Iger announced plans for a 2 billion euro, multi-year expansion for Disneyland Paris alongside French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palais de l’Elysée in Paris. The new development will include a transformation of the Walt Disney Studios Park, adding three new areas that are based on Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars, along with multiple new attractions and live entertainment experiences.

The expansion plan is one of the most ambitious development projects at Disneyland Paris since its opening in 1992 and underscores the Company’s commitment to the long-term success of the resort as Disney’s brand beacon in Europe.

“We’re very excited about the future of Disneyland Paris and continue to invest in its long-term success,” said Robert A. Iger, chairman and chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company. “The resort is already the leading tourist destination in Europe, and the transformative expansion we announced today will add even more of our beloved characters and unparalleled storytelling to create new lands, attractions and entertainment that further elevate the guest experience and drive new opportunities for tourism in this dynamic region.”

The new areas will infuse some of Disney’s most popular stories and characters into this unique destination, building upon the success of the resort’s 25th Anniversary celebration and continuing to enhance the guest experience for millions of Europeans.

With over 320 million visits since 1992 and representing 6.2 percent of France’s tourism income, Disneyland Paris has played a key leadership role in tourism for the region. The resort continues to be a powerful driver of economic and social development with over 16,000 employees representing 100 nationalities. This investment will help make the region even more dynamic and appealing and open up more opportunities for French and European citizens in the tourism industry.

The multi-year development will roll out in phases beginning in 2021, significantly expanding the Walt Disney Studios Park. In addition to the three new areas, the creative vision includes a new lake, which will be the focal point for entertainment experiences and will also connect each of the new park areas.

In the spring of 2017, Disneyland Paris kicked off its 25th Anniversary celebration including new entertainment and experiences for guests. The resort also completed a two-year refurbishment program, updating and renovating many of the classic attractions in the parks, as well as opening multiple new entertainment shows such as Mickey and the Magician, which won a 2017 International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions theme park industry award for “Best Theatrical Production.” Additionally, several major renovations took place at the resort’s hotels including Disney’s Newport Bay Club, which is now a four-star hotel.

Just this month, Disneyland Paris announced plans for a new Marvel-themed attraction that will be coming to the Walt Disney Studios, part of the new Marvel area development. In 2020, the resort will open Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, a reimagining of Disney’s Hotel New York that will showcase the inspiring worlds of Iron Man, The Avengers, and Spider-Man, among others. And this summer, the Marvel Summer of Super Heroes seasonal event will take place at Disneyland Paris, where guests can meet their favourite heroes and experience new live entertainment.

Below, a zoom in the new concept-art on the Marvel land for the WDS.

Note the Avengers plane at the entrance of the stunt show which will soon become a Marvel stunt show.

We all knew already about the Marvel Land coming where WDS Backlot land currently is and a first Marvel attraction was even announced at D23 Japan this month with an Iron Man ride instead of the Rock and Roller Coaster. And a Star Wars land is not really a surprise too as it was long rumored and the Star Wars license is so popular in Europe since nearly 40 years. Chances are that the rides will be similar to the ones that will open at DL and WDW Disney's Hollywood Studios Star Wars lands next year.

Below, a zoom in the new concept-art on the Star Wars land for the WDS. On the artwork - which is in fact not one artwork but a mix of several so not necessarily the final one - it seems that the Star Wars land might be smaller than the ones in the U.S, and no Millenium Falcon can be seen on it but just a X-Wing fighter. Again, don't take it as the final real thing. Also interesting the path on the right of SWL which seems to go behind it ...to another future land?

The real surprise is the Frozen land which was not expected, at least in the Walt Disney Studios. The fact that Marvel and Star Wars universe are mostly "boys" universe ( even if a lot of girls are Star Wars fans ) may be the reason why a Frozen land has been chosen as DLP needed to have at the WDS a land for young girls, and obviously a Frozen land will do it. It don't look to be a land similar to the one they will build soon at Hong Kong Disneyland or to the Frozen land announced previously and designed for Tokyo DisneySea, but taking elements from each. Anyway there won't be probably any costs for "research and development" as they will have been paid by the others parks and that may have had an influence too in the decision to build a Frozen land at the WDS. Or may be it is the recent snowy weather and "frozen" temperatures - along with the stunning pictures of the parks covered by snow - which helped to finally made the final choice for the Frozen land. Just imagine this big mountain covered by real snow!

Below, a zoom in the new concept-art on the Frozen land for the WDS. I bet that the show building for the attraction - because of course there will be one - will be inside the mountain. Note also on the full artwork at the top that the land on the right of Frozen land and over Toy Story Playland is quite empty, leaving room eventually for a future land there, too.

As you can see on the concept-art at the top, the good news is that the Tower of Terror is safe - no transformation in a Guardians of Galaxy with the terrible facade. Also, a huge lake will be created at the center behind and i think we can safely bet on a fountain evening show. But a closer look to Toy Story Playland seems to also reveal something looking like a green alien attraction being added to WDS TSL - if it's the case, will it be the same than the one coming to TSL at Disney's Hollywood Studios? It looks like...

That said, 2 Billion Euros is a huge amount and if we add the cost of these three lands - Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen - it will probably be around one or 1.2 billion euros, meaning that the question now is: what are they going to do at DLP with the other one billion?

Breaking News : Major Announcements at D23 Expo Japan: Iron Man Ride Coming at DLP Walt Disney Studios, Mickey &Minnie’s Runaway Railway to Open at DHS in 2019, More About Epcot Guardians of Galaxy Coaster, Pixar Pier, Star Wars Resort, DLP Marvel Hotel, HKDL Ant-Man Ride...

Disney Parks Chairman Bob Chapek did some major announcements at D23 Expo Japan this morning, and the one that will be the most exciting for Disneyland Paris fans is about the transformation of the Rock and Roller Coaster in an Iron Man ride!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at DLP Walt Disney Studios Park to be transformed in an Iron Man ride! It was just announced at D23 Expo Japan that the Marvel Super Hero universe will also come to Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris, where Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be totally reimagined as a high-speed, hyper-kinetic adventure, in which guests will team up with Iron Man and their favorite Avengers.

NOT announced by Bob Chapek at D23 Japan, but D&M insider infos are saying that the re-theming at WDS Rock and Roller Coaster for the new Iron Man ride will start this fall with an opening eventually for DLP WDS 2019 Summer of Marvel Super Heroes! ( this has to be confirmed officially )

Don't go away as there is more news for every Disney park! Bob Chapek also announced that Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open next year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

"Bob Chapek showed how Imagineers are pulling out all of the stops to make Mickey’s first attraction an unbelievable experience for everyone. Mickey &Minnie’s Runaway Railway will feature a new catchy theme song created especially for the attraction as well as a new experience that defies logic that we’re calling 2 ½-D. No glasses required.

On the attraction, the fun will begin when you'll see the premiere of a new cartoon short with Mickey and Minnie getting ready for a picnic. As they head out, they drive alongside a train and find out that the engineer is Goofy. Then, one magical moment lets you step into the movie and on Goofy’s train for a wacky, wild ride.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will put you inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short where you’re the star and anything can happen. And for the first time, we shared a preview of what the cars will look like when you board the attraction for a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.

The teams helping create the attraction are currently working with partners at Disney Television Animation—the people who create the popular and award-winning Mickey Shorts – to keep the characters and story authentic and to make sure you’re able to step through the movie screen and join Mickey and his friends like never before."

At Epcot, the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Attraction will be one of the World’s longest enclosed coasters! At D23 Expo Japan, Bob Chapek shared a first look at Epcot’s highly-anticipated “Guardians of the Galaxy”-themed attraction – and yes, it’s a roller coaster!

"With the “Guardians of the Galaxy”-inspired coaster, we’re going big. This one-of-a-kind family attraction will be one of the world’s longest enclosed roller coasters when it’s added to Future World at Epcot. It’ll feature a unique story currently being created by Walt Disney Imagineering and include a new innovative ride system that’s guaranteed to “wow” guests.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy”-inspired coaster is part of our ongoing work to transform Epcot into a place that’s more family, more relevant, more timeless and more Disney. “As we build upon its core mission of optimism and hope to inspire the world, the real will become fantastic and the fantastic will become real—in whole new ways at Epcot,” Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, said.

The attraction will open in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in 2021."

At Disneyland Resort Pixar Pier will open June 23 at Disney California Adventure park.
"This reimagined land will feature four whimsical neighborhoods representing beloved Pixar stories with newly themed attractions, foods and merchandise. Guests will enter Pixar Pier through a new marquee, pictured above, which will be topped by the iconic Pixar lamp later in the year.

Beginning April 13, the first-ever Pixar Fest will be a celebration of friendship and beyond throughout the Disneyland Resort. Pixar Fest will feature the debut of the all-new “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular,” the return of “Paint the Night” parade and Pixar Play Parade as well as even more beloved Pixar characters, new décor, atmosphere entertainment, themed food and beverage and new merchandise items.

Opening during Pixar Fest, the newly reimagined Pixar Pier will bring new, whimsical neighborhoods filled with your friends from “The Incredibles,” “Inside Out” and even more of your pals from “Toy Story.” The centerpiece of Pixar Pier will be the new Incredicoaster, a super combination of character figures, lighting and special effects that will bring the Parr family racing alongside you in an attempt to catch baby Jack-Jack." More announcements about Pixar experiences around the world are on the Disney Parks blog in the article HERE.

There is more, and it's about the highly awaited Star Wars-Inspired Resort planned for Walt Disney World which promises to be "Unlike Anything That Exists Today!"

This first-of-its-kind resort will combine luxury with complete immersion into an authentic Star Wars story. Guests’ journey through space will start when everyone departs together for a multiday Stars Wars adventure by boarding a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during a voyage through the galaxy.

At the resort, guests immediately become active citizens of the galaxy and can dress up in the proper attire. Every resort window will also have a view into space. The opportunity for immersion at this resort will also stand out among all Disney resorts around the globe, as it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a total Star Wars experience!

Starting this summer, Disneyland Paris will celebrate Marvel Summer of Super Heroes, an event that will welcome Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, Star-Lord and Black Widow to Disneyland Paris for the first time. Starting June 10th, guests’ favorite heroes will be featured in the Walt Disney Studios Park for exciting meet & greets and breathtaking, epic shows. But that’s not all for Marvel fans at Disneyland Paris.

Disneyland Paris is also re-imagining one of its resort hotels into Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will showcase the dynamic, inspiring world of Super Heroes including Iron Man, The Avengers, and Spider Man among others, and will open within 2020. The resort will showcase the inspiring worlds of Iron Man, The Avengers, and Spider Man, among others in the style of a contemporary art gallery. Today Disney shared a sneak peek inside one of the Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel resort rooms. The photo above shows how guests will truly be surrounded by the Marvel universe.

At Hong Kong Disneyland since its January 2017 opening, Iron Man Experience has become the most popular attraction at Hong Kong Disneyland, and an entire Marvel-themed area is underway at the resort. But that’s not all that’s planned for Marvel fans: Bob Chapek shared details about a second Marvel attraction that is set for Hong Kong Disneyland, where you’ll be able to team up with Ant-Man and The Wasp to fight Arnim Zola and his army of Hydra swarm bots. And here are three new renderings shared by D23!

This article will be updated if there is more announcements.

Disneyland Paris Update: "Rendez-Vous Gourmands" at the Walt Disney Studios !

Here is a new Disneyland Paris update thanks to Max, D&M contributor and DLP Welcome webmaster! During two weeks, visitors of the Walt Disney Studios Park had the chance to have a tasting of products and dishes from French regions. This small event lasted until September 24th.

For two weeks, the « Rendez-Vous Gourmand » of Disneyland Paris was set up for its first edition at the Walt Disney Studios Park to offer a new experience at Place of Rémy. Here is the video of the opening with the cut of the ribbon!

In fact, six booths highlighted the specialties and wines of France regions. They were placed along the path and the plaza leading to WDS most delightful ride, Ratatouille!

The booths were a real opportunity for visitors and especially foreigners to discover French specialties including wines, cheeses and delicatessens labeled and certified. So you were able to discover a burgundy beef in its delicious juice for €4.50 , a sauerkraut at €3.50 or a pancake with ham cheese and mushrooms at €5. But if you preferred desserts, the Kouign-Amann was at €3, the blueberry tart at €4 or the 3 mini-Tropéziennes at €9.

As you will have understood, whether it was from the west or the east or he south of France with the plates of charcuterie and Corsican cheese, there was delicious French food available for all tastes.

The Rue de Paris, leading to the Place de Rémy, with its stands offering the best recipes of the French regions with their specialties to the visitors in a pleasant setting of village place giving a new dimension to this neighborhood. And it is the musicians, dancers and dancing at 3 pm, 4 pm and 5 pm that this market square, its stands and the attraction Ratatouille will give you a glimpse of the French provinces.

But besides tasting a multitude of flavors characteristic of these regions, the red, white, rosé wines and even champagne regions were also served to go along with the dozen of typical products that each booths offered to visitors.

Our feeling for this two-week event is that it was a very good idea from Disneyland Paris to organize at this season. The proposed products were of quality with small prices for small portions in order to offer a culinary insight of France.

This choice of « tasting » service also makes possible to stir visitors’ curiosity about French gastronomy and allow them to choose certain foods.

In addition, this offer also give the possibility to change the usual booths with popcorns which are everywhere in the parks and offer little diversity, surprise and envy in the choice of snacks. Finally, don't take this event as an opportunity to have a full meal as restaurants like the « Bistrot chez Remy » is here for that. Anyway, it was nice to see the diversity in choices, products and quality proposed in a theme park. This gourmet season, happened from September 8 to 24 from 10 am to 6 pm during the week and from 10 am to 8 pm on weekends, let's hope it will be back next year!

Let's end with his video of Max showing the whole thing!

One more thing, and it's about the Disneyland Paris book as the publishing company has ended and many of you asked me if there were still copies available. The damaged French collector edition copies are at 65€, always + 22€ shipping worldwide, except Belgium or Italy, 29€. D&M Survey : Do You Wish That DLP Walt Disney Studios Tower of Terror Will Be Transformed in a Guardians of Galaxy ride?

I've added on Disney and more today a new survey, and an important one as the question for this one is : do you wish that the Walt Disney Studios Tower of Terror will be transformed in a Guardians of Galaxy ride, similar to the one at DCA? Apparently the final choice has not been done yet in the big WDS Placemaking, so it is now or never to let DLP know what is your favorite choice!

Go ahead, place your answer NOW, the survey is on the top of the right column AND you can add your comments below! ( but definitely VOTE  to tell your choice )

You can ALSO write a comment on the similar post on the Disney and More Facebook page HERE.

"Mickey and the Magician" at DLP Walt Disney Studios: An incredible show with amazing illusions.

Disneyland Paris released a new press release providing more details about the awaited Mickey and the Magician show which will start July 2 in the former Animagique theatre at the Walt Disney Studios park. Here it is:

Entertainment just keeps on creating new surprises at Disneyland Paris. This summer, the public will be able to enjoy "Mickey and the Magician" for the first time. This show, specially created for Walt Disney Studios Park, will star the mouse who started it all.

Mickey is poised to become the hero of a brand new story. Far from his recent roles of master of ceremonies, this new show will take him back to where Disney magic all began. He is embarking on a unique experience where magic fuels dreams. Mickey will learn valuable lessons from iconic Disney Magicians leading him to his dream of becoming a Magician. But these lessons are full of surprises, because, although enthusiastic by nature, Mickey is terribly clumsy.

A new adventure for Mickey

Go back in time to Paris at the turn of the 19th century… and enter a great Magician’s atelier, where the assistant is no other than a certain Mickey Mouse! Night has fallen. Tinker Bell has spread a little stardust. When he is given the task of cleaning up the atelier before sunrise, the young apprentice gets distracted! Nothing turns out as expected. Mickey finds himself accidentally transported to the most magical Disney film worlds. He becomes the hero in this incredible show where illusion is key and the audience find themselves plunged into a world of magic and delight.

A magical story

To illustrate this return to where the magic all began, the creators of "Mickey and the Magician" draw inspiration from the great illusionist Georges Méliès and the famous magician Robert-Houdin. This is not a traditional magic show. The illusions will form the basis of this brand new story. Disneyland Paris has called on the acclaimed magician Paul Kieve to create these illusions.   “It’s hard to think of the word ‘Disney’ without also thinking of the word ‘Magic’. I became fascinated with magic when I was 10 years old and was always inventing ideas in my head. One of the great things about working on ‘Mickey and the Magician' is that I can bring some of these ideas into reality!” said Paul Kieve.
“When I was 10 years old I was taken to Disneyland in California. Magic of course became my life, so to have the opportunity to bring wonderful magic into a permanent live show in Disneyland Paris, surrounded by these classic Disney characters is a dream come true for me. I’m excited that thousands and thousands of kids of all ages will be introduced not only to live magic, but to high quality live theatre by watching Mickey and the Magician. I hope it will be an experience they will never forget.”

Stars from Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin and Frozen all lend a hand

Every object has a story and the Magician’s secret attic is cluttered with amazing artefacts, curious props, and mysterious objects: a hat, a candlestick, a zoetrope, a lamp and a crystal ball among other things. Distracted from his task, Mickey stirs the magic within each object. He then embarks upon an extraordinary journey strewn with breath-taking illusions magical moments, and crosses paths with iconic Disney magicians.

The Fairy Godmother from Cinderella unveils her famous spell, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. Rafiki, the mandrill and great mystic from The Lion King will remind him of the meaning of "The Circle of Life". The Genie from Aladdin performs an eccentric number for him to the tune of the famous song "Friend Like Me". Lumière, the French candlestick from Beauty and the Beast has a surprise in store for him with his new enchanted version of "Be Our Guest". Finally, Elsa, from Frozen, will show him how to…"Let It Go"!

He will learn from each in turn as they share amazing magical moments with him, to help him discover the true meaning of the word "magic".

The magic of the music

The unforgettable songs that helped to make each of these major films such a success have been specially reorchestrated. "Mickey and the Magician" promises the audience great music featuring completely unexpected sounds. For example, "Be Our Guest", the star song from Beauty and the Beast, will feature the sounds of the circus; while "Friend Like Me", sung by the Genie from Aladdin, takes on a Broadway style, integrating tricks and tap dancing. The show also features a brand new song.

A new daily show at the Walt Disney Studios Park

"Mickey and the Magician" will make its debut on 2 July 2016 and will run until 8 January 2017. There will be several Franco-English shows per day at Animagique Theater, Toon Studio, Walt Disney Studios Park.

"Mickey and the Magician" sees Mickey take on a different role and gives the audience another opportunity to see the stars of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin and even Frozen come to life on stage. A funny, musical, mischievous and moving show… full of illusions! Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
