New Trailer for Warner Bros Peter "Pan" Movie

We have a new trailer for the new Peter Pan movie -released into theaters on October 9th - and it includes lots of new footage to enjoy. Hugh Jackman is Blackbeard the Pirate and Levi Miller is Peter Pan. Jackman is going to steal the show, though.

Peter is a mischievous 12-year-old boy with an irrepressible rebellious streak, but in the bleak London orphanage where he has lived his whole life those qualities do not exactly fly. Then one incredible night, Peter is whisked away from the orphanage and spirited off to a fantastical world of pirates, warriors and fairies called Neverland. There, he finds amazing adventures and fights life-or-death battles while trying to uncover the secret of his mother, who left him at the orphanage so long ago, and his rightful place in this magical land. Teamed with the warrior Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara) and a new friend named James Hook (Garrett Hedlund), Peter must defeat the ruthless pirate Blackbeard to save Neverland and discover his true destiny—to become the hero who will forever be known as Peter Pan.

First Trailer of New Peter Pan Movie, "Pan" !

I have one more great trailer for you today with the first trailer of the new Peter Pan movie called "Pan"! I remind you that it is a prequel and Hugh Jackman is playing Blackbeard and not Captain Hook who is played by Garrett Hedlund.

"Offering a new take on the origin of the classic characters created by J.M. Barrie, the action adventure follows the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny—to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan."

Amazing Peter Pan 10 Min Short Movie !

I've got a special treat for you today - like every day i should say!  - with ten minutes of a Peter Pan short movie! Called "Peter" this one is inspired by a famous french graphic novel from artist Régis Loisel and it's a darker vision of the Peter Pan story.

Here is more about the story line from Director Nicolas Duval:

"This short film presents the first striking stages of Regis Loisel’ s work ‘Peter Pan’ where he puts forward his dark vision of the world in the way of a fairy tale for adults. The film displays Peter as a child, years before Sir James Matthew Barrie’s one. We all know that Peter Pan is an eternal child who hates adults and whose sworn enemy is captain Crochet. But how did he come to this ? London in 1887 hunger coldness and poverty provide the setting.

Brought up by a tyrannical and alcoholic mother Peter finds his salute only in the dreams and tales which free his imagination. One night, after a violent quarrel with his mother he takes refuge on the docks. There a small and attractive fairy who needs help will take him to the imaginary country.

Thus begins the fabulous story of Peter a child from the poor area of White-Chapel who will later become Peter Pan. He will have to face the awful captain Hook in an everlasting fight for the treasure and survival of the island."

Personally, i think that, visually speaking, they did a real good job. Also, the short is in french language with english subtitles. I'm not totally convinced by others points like the dialogs and think they should have filmed it in english with english actors, but that's just my opinion, so i let you be the judge!

"A Pirate Fairy" Trailer With Tom Hiddleston as Captain Hook

A new Fairy movie will be released early next year, either in theaters or direct to Dvd depending the countries and it's called "The Pirate Fairy". Normally i really don't care about these Fairies movies but i'm not the target for them anyway. But this one might be more interesting as it looks like a kind of Peter Pan spin-off starring Tom Hiddleston as a pre-Hook Captain Hook - the one on the right on the picture above - and Christina Hendricks as a fairy named Zarina - the one on the left above - and in the center you've noticed Skull Rock. Below the trailer and synopsis of this "Pirate Fairy" expected spring 2014.

"When a misunderstood dust-keeper fairy named Zarina steals Pixie Hollow’s all-important Blue Pixie Dust, and flies away to join forces with the pirates of Skull Rock, Tinker Bell and her fairy friends must embark on the adventure of a lifetime to return it to its rightful place. However, in the midst of their pursuit of Zarina, Tink’s world is turned upside down. She and her friends find that their respective talents have been switched and they have to race against time to retrieve the Blue Pixie Dust and return home to save Pixie Hollow."

Peter Pan Prequel Movie on Its Way ?

Apparently Disney intend to produce a Peter Pan prequel movie - and i mean a real movie, not animated. As the Deadline web site revealed recently: "Disney has hired writer Jesse Wigutow to adapt the best-selling children’s novel, "Peter and the Starcatchers", the 2004 book published by Disney’s Hyperion which gives the backstory for the iconic Peter Pan character.

Co-authored by Dave Barry and Ridley Pierson, the book has become a hot property, with the current Broadway adaptation having just nabbed nine Tony Award nominations, including Best Play. Peter and the Starcatchers is the first in a series of books by the authors, giving franchise potential to the project". According to The Hollywood Reporter it's Gary Ross (Hunger Games) who should direct the movie.

I didn't read the book, but may be one of you did and can let us know in the comments how good it is - or you can read reviews about it on Amazon HERE.. And of course we will also keep an eye on this upcoming movie.

Disney Parks has released a really nice advertising video for the Christmas season of It's a Small World. This reminds me that "It's a Small World Celebration", a kind of Christmas version of IASW will begin at DLP November 21st!

Last wednesday you saw my article on the Neverland theme park project, but as you will see this Ad also have some Peter Pan spirit. Enjoy!
