FULL HD Video of Shanghaî Disneyland Pirates Stunt Show "Eye of the Storm: Captain Jack's Stunt Spectacular" !

At last, we have a HD video of the FULL SDL Treasure Cove pirates stunt show "Eye of the Storm: Captain Jack's Stunt Spectacular", filmed by Youkuber M_Patros! Lots of swachbuckling of course but the show has also some background projections and good ideas - look what happen when a tornado arrive! Let's not forget it's the first Disney pirates stunt show - though one was envisioned for DLP some years ago, but never happened. Note that real action starts about 7min of the start of the show with the actors on stage and the arrival of Jack Sparrow. It's all in Chinese language so if you don't speak Chinese you won't understand but try to don't miss the start which introduces the characters. Screen shots below and full video under them.

Shanghaî Disneyland Treasure Cove and Pirates of Caribbean Update

We're back at Shanghaî Disneyland today for a special look at SDL Treasure Cove and Pirates of Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure, thanks to pictures posted on Chinese social website Weibo by various people.

The first pictures above and below shows the entrance of the highly awaited POTC ride.

Next picture shows a warning at the entrance of the land: "Abandon all hope ye who enter here!"

And to make sure you understand the warning a look at this throne and its death skull should make things clear...

A view of the lagoon and the wrecked ship on a cloudy day...

Next is a quite good picture showing the pirate galleon in Treasure Cove lagoon...

A picture of Treasure Cove lagoon with Skull Island on the right...

The sign of Doublon Market, one of the shops of the land...

Next photo was shot from the top of POTC fortress... of course all what you see on the roof will be hidden to the sight of SDL guests.

We'll end with a great picture showing part of the "underwater" scenes with the sunken ship and its treasure - remember the ride title "Battle for the Sunken Treasure"? Obviously the underwater "dry for wet" lighting is not working yet on this picture.

See you soon for a new Shanghaî Disneyland update!

All About Shanghaî Disneyland Treasure Cove Stunt Show!

Let's start the year - or end it depending where you're living as part of the planet is not yet in 2016 - with a Shanghaî Disneyland article - after all, SDL will be the main theme park event later this Spring, right?

Today we'll have a closer look at SDL Treasure Cove Pirate stunt show, probably the most awaited show of Shanghaî Disneyland. Here his the official synopsis:

"“Eye of the Storm: Captain Jack’s Stunt Spectacular” at Treasure Cove: At El Teatro Fandango, the theatre audience will be enthralled as Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of wily pirates romp through the theatre in search of a misplaced treasure chest. As Captain Jack is confronted first by the beautiful redheaded star and then the Royal Admiral and his men, the swashbuckling action takes off with swordfights, fantastic stunts and a raging storm. Making its global premiere at Shanghai Disneyland, the show presents pirate humor and a remarkable finale as Captain Jack fights off the Admiral in a whirlwind adventure."

As you'll see on the rendering below everything will start in the El Fandango theatre pre-show room where some swashbuckling will happen on the balcony to entertain the audience while they wait to enter in the main room.

All the artwork below are screen captures from an official video released by SDL. The video was showing all the different artworks for the show scenes and i took as principle they've been filmed in chronological order as generally these videos are done intelligently. If it's not the case it mean that the order of the scenes will be different which doesn't mean they won't be part of the stunt show, so it's no big problem.

Apparently the arrival on stage of Jack Sparrow will be done with his giant shadow appearing on the stage curtain...

...followed by Captain Jack sliding on a cable down to the stage and flying over the spectators heads.

The next arrival seems to be the one of a pirate "red-head" girl...

...who will use his whip against Jack for so far unknown reasons.

At one point Jack will find himself bounded...

...before getting involved in an elevated fight with one of the Admiral soldiers.

Spectators will hear from the right side of the stage a loud bang from a cannon...

...to then discover once the smoke will have disappeared a severely damaged stage decor.

In a next scene Jack will use another cannon on stage...

...with the cannonball sending one of the soldiers in the air.

We'll find back Captain Jack up in a boat...

...and then stealing the treasure chest while an the Admiral is shooting at him to prevent him to escape.

Next will be a new swashbuckling sequence with the Admiral.

Another loud explosion may end the show...

...with the winning pirates sharing the treasure chest and sending golden coins to the audience.

There surely will be more to see during this stunt show but these artworks already gives an idea of how the show will look at SDL Treasure Cove when the park will open later this spring. If you've not watched yet the video from where these screen captures are coming, here it is below! See you soon for a new Shanghaî Disneyland update!

Shanghaî Disneyland Treasure Cove and POTC Ride Update

Short news about Shanghaî Disneyland Treasure Cove from Shanghai Daily. In what we didn't knew already, except a short synopsis about the POTC "Battle for the Sunken Treasure" ride, you'll note that POTC boats will be able "to spin, travel sideways, and even move backwards" and i won't be surprised if the fall "under the sea" would be done backwards. It will be more surprising for the riders who will not expect it and probably also will solve some technical issues, like "how can we hide the hole for the fall before the boat gets into it". Advanced Audio-Animatronics can also be expected:

"Shanghai Disney Resort will have its first pirate-themed park with two giant ships and will also include an acrobatic performance.

The Treasure Cove will narrate piracy stories dating back to the 17th century in the Caribbean. Visitors will get to explore the Shipwreck Shore, Fort Snobbish, Landlubber Landing and the Village of pirates.

The theme park also features two giant ships, pirate-themed restaurants and a water play area. Visitors can watch epic scenes in Pirates of the Caribbean – Battle for the Sunken Treasure, as well as the other action and acrobatics show at El Teatro Fandango.

Battle for the Sunken Treasure is a spectacular indoor boat ride that will take visitors on a rollicking adventure with Captain Jack Sparrow to steal the priceless treasure of Davy Jones.

In the new, highly controlled ride, the boats can spin, travel sideways, and even move backwards to create a highly personalized experience.

Disney's patented Audio-Animatronics and recent advancements in robotic technology will bring these pirates to a new level of realistic performance, the resort said.

Visitors can also paddle real canoes through the waters of Treasure Cove. Captains will lead each canoe and point out scenic highlights along the way.

Furthermore, the “Eye of the Storm: Captain Jack’s Stunt Spectacular” will have its global premiere at Shanghai Disneyland. The stage production features sword fighting, stunning visual effects and a whirlwind finale. »

Stay tuned on Disney and more as we'll talk again soon about Treasure Cove with new artworks!
