New Ratatouille Ride Making-Of Pictures !

The French magazine Les Echos was invited at WDI and posted an interesting article about Ratatouille, including never seen before pictures of the making of the ride. You can read the article HERE but the text is in french so if you don't read french ask Google Translate to translate the page. Above, an early concept-art for the ride vehicle. Click on each pictures to see them in big size.

Below, inside WDI, an Imagineer showing the model of the Ratatouille area.

On the next picture, Erma Yazzie, a wonderful WDI sculptor, with the model of the fountain located at the center of the land.

Below, a close-shot on the small Remy's head sculpture.

On location at the WDS, the giant fruits and sausages that guests will see in the "cold room" during the ride.

Always inside the show building, the arrival of one of the giant kitchen props installed in the ride.

A "Ratmobile" vehicle, in a scene close to the end of the ride.

Outside the show building, the arrival of the giant Gusteau sign.

The giant Gusteau sign being put in place on the top of a building roof.

I remind you that you have an appointment on Disney and more this Sunday starting around 1pm local time in Paris for a Live Blog all day during the press event of the Ratatouille ride, don't miss it!

DLP WDS Ratatouille Ride Photos and Video Update !

It's spring time already in Paris and this week-end Paris even had the hottest temperature since 1880 with 22.6 Degrees ( celsius ) ! So it was the right time for Max, D&M contributor and DLPWelcome webmaster to come back to the parks and shoot great pictures of the works on the Ratatouille ride, and as will see, this time there is something new!

What has changes since last time is that the scaffoldings have been removed on all facades on the path located between the entrance of Toy Story play land and the Ratatouille plaza, the one that each guests will walk through to access to the ride. Of course the path is still closed but it doesn't stop to shoot pictures. I also remind you that the official grand opening is apparently set up for July 15 but soft openings should start from June 23 for cast members and June 28 for AP and WDS guests!

But some scaffoldings still have to be removed, probably in a week or two, if not less...

Nothing new, though, on the "halle" a building designed like Paris old covered market under which guests will probably wait in the queue line...

...but there is a bit more of construction on the fountain at the center of the plaza...

We will end this Ratatouille update with a great video filmed by DLRPFans just a few days ago.

See you soon for a new DLP update! In the meantime, i remind you that it's never too late to order the gorgeous Disneyland Paris From Sketch to Reality book still available in both ENGLISH or FRENCH editions - and the special offer thanks to which you can save $50 on the normal price is still valid, so if you don't own the book yet i'm sure you don't want to miss it! Paypal and credit card payment are accepted, so make sure you to place your order now!

Disneyland Paris Indiana Jones Temple and WDS Ratatouille Ride Update !

Here we go for the promised part two of the Disneyland Paris update in which we'll have a look only at the works on the Indiana Jones Temple and at the WDS construction site of the Ratatouille ride, thanks to pictures of Max Fan, D&M contributor and DLPWelcome webmaster. As usual Max went in the park at opening hour, that's why you won't see anyone on the pics.

On the Indiana Jones temple the replacement of the old temple by a new one all sculpted in real stone is going on and works are supposed to be over in May. However, for those of you who wondered if at the same time they will add new show elements, i'm sorry to say that nothing new should be added as they only rebuild the temple and change the 360 degrees loop track, and that's all. Yes, i know, it's a pity and just like you i'm disappointed they didn't took the chance to add anything new during those works but that's how it goes at DLP in difficult economy times...

That said, the new parts are really in stone and it shows, you can see it, and see the difference.

Okay, let's move to the WDS to have a look at the Ratatouille site... where most of the works now happen inside the show building, so invisible to our eyes. But there is still some works going on on the facades and the small fountain in the center of the plaza is still awaiting to be finished.

O-Kay, that should do it for today and see you soon for a new DLP update!
