Say Hello to BURN-E

Remember that little robot who was outside of the Axiom ship in WALL-E - repairing something - and who get locked out of the ship when WALL-E enter?

Well, in the soon to be released WALL-E Dvd, a 7.35 minutes short animated about him - his name is BURN-E - will show you how this little robot try to install a replacement lamp on the starliner and find a way back inside the Axiom.

The short is directed by animator Angus MacLane and the story begin when BURN-E is locked out of the Axiom.

Almost 8 minutes of a new Pixar short animated is always a good news to begin the day, and here is some high-res pictures of it released by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

Wall-E windows now on the Disney Store at Champs-Elysées, Paris

Those of you who don't live in France may not know it, but the Disney Store on the Champs-Elysées avenue in Paris , known as the "most beautiful avenue in the world" - which is a bit exagerated - is one of the best seller Disney Store in the world.

And, as the movie is released July 30 in France, they've changed their windows yesterday with a new Wall-E theming. Inside the window of the corner a real-size animated Wall-E - not a Audio-animatronic, don't dream - and all the other windows are themed on the film, including a real size Eve. Inside, the store, of course, plenty of Wall-E merchandise. Here are the pictures, sorry for the inevitable reflections in the glass.

New Pixar short movie "Presto" now available on ITunes Store !

The new Pixar short movie "Presto" is already available on the U.S ITunes Store for $1.99 ! Those of you who live in the U.S will see it just before Wall-E, but many other countries - like France where Wall-E is release only on July 30th - will have to wait one more month to discover it.

Now, everybody in the world can buy "Presto" on the ITunes Store IF you have a U.S ITunes Store account. And to have a U.S ITunes Store account, you need not only an adress in the U.S, but also a U.S credit card or bank account. If you do NOT have a U.S bank account, your last chance to order Presto is to have a friend in the U.S who can order and download it for you. And if you don't have an american friend, then you just gotta wait for Presto to be release on your local ITunes Store....and it can take a looong time - in France, for instance, last year Pixar short "Lifted" is still not available on the french ITunes Store - i know, it's absurd, but it's the sad truth...

Here is again the 30 seconds Presto preview - by the way, all the reviews on this Pixar short are highly positive...

A review of cool stuff available at Disney Shopping

Quite a while since i did a "cool merchandise" topic, but here is one about cool stuff available at Disneyshopping.com

Of course, plenty of new items about Wall-E, beginning with this great poster above available for $29.50 in the collectibles section HERE

In the Wall-E toys section HERE , lot of different items - remote-controlled Wall-E, Motorized Interactive Talking Wall-E and EVE who interact with each other - $39.50 each. Here are two different videos to have a closer look to how it works.

Also, these "Wall-E Transforming" which "quickly transforms from cube to fully poseable figure in seconds, ready to clean up the world" - $24.50

This Search & Protect Eve "Press EVE's head down to change her eye expressions six different ways" - $12.50

And, this Clean & Go M-O which moves along the floor brushing up any debris in his path - Two rotating brushes lift dirt up into his back panel compartment - $12.50

Don't forget to keep some dollars for the Ultimate Wall-E that will be available this fall - the real good one to buy. Have a look at this new video of it below.

Always at Disneyshopping.com, three cool items to celebrate Peter Pan 55th anniversary. The first one is this great Never Land big figure featuring a working waterfall, a rotating Tinker Bell and lots of your favorite characters and locations, including the Mermaid's Lagoon, a hollow tree filled with the Lost Boys and Peter Pan, and Tiger Lily and her village. Tepees and Hollow tree lights up.

Also, this Peter Pan 55th Anniversary Snowglobe where The Lost Boys are lost in joy as they dance around Peter Pan and Tiger Lily, while her father and the jealous Wendy watch. Characters rotate around snowglobe and Indian Tents light up. These two items are a bit pricey - $150 and $99.50, but nice Peter Pan items are always rare.

And if you like fiber optic effects, this Tinker Bell Fiber Optic Big Figure should make your day - Fiber optic wings and Pixie dust on base lights up and changes color - $79.50

Finally, there is a real good deal on Disneyshopping right now, it's this Jack Sparrow 22'' Full Body Figurine at $49.99 ( intead of 124.50 previously ). I bought it some months ago, and not only the sculpture is huge, but also beautiful. The best Jack Sparrow sculpture i've seen so far. Believe me, for $49.99 it's a reaaaal good deal!

Okay, that should do it for today!

Wall-E " A Space Journey In Sound " New Featurette

When you're doing a movie about robots in the future, you surely need a good sound designer. And for Wall-E, Andrew Stanton choose the best one: Ben Burtt.

Who is Ben Burtt you ask? Well, first, Ben is four times academy award winner - four! - and his most memorable work includes creating the "voice" of robot R2-D2 in the Star Wars films, as well as various sound effects like the lightsaber, the heavy breathing sound of Darth Vader (by recording his own breathing in an old Dacor scuba regulator), and the speederbike chase sounds from Return of the Jedi...

So, you see, Ben is really the right man at the right place for all the Wall-E sounds, and Ben will explain you more in this very interesting featurette below!

What are you doing the next 700 years ?

The Wall-E poster above is the french version of the movie poster, and the "hook" phrase - if this is the right english word - is: "Tu fais quoi les 700 prochaines annees" that we can translate by: "What are you doing the next 700 years ?".

The movie will be released in France at the end of July, so the french will have to wait one more month!

You can find the image in high-res HERE
